Abstract: A multiplexing gathering device includes a first gatherer for forming first gathered printed products on a first line and a second gatherer for forming second gathered printed products on a second line. A collecting device collects the first and second gathered printed products. A first transporter transports the first gathered products from the first line to the collecting device and a second transporter for transports the second gathered products from the second line to the collecting device. At least one controller for controls the first gatherer and second gatherer so that second gathered products are selectively formed as a function of the formation of first gathered printed products. A method is also provided.

Abstract: A portable gaming unit for playing an associated game comprises a housing and a base. The housing includes a display. An electronics assembly is mounted in the housing for controlling input/output functions of the gaming unit. A pivot joint pivotably mounts the housing to the base. An easel is pivotably mounted to one of the housing and the base. The easel in a use orientation braces the housing against the base to enable the housing to maintain an acute angle in relation to a plane of the base. In a transport orientation, the easel allows the housing to fold against the base. The easel in the transport orientation serves as a handle for the gaming unit.

Abstract: In a method for tracing data within an integrated circuit, a default time stamp granularity is selected for a sequence of time stamps, wherein each time stamp has a resolution of 2**N. A sequence of trace events is captured and an elapsed time is determined between each time sequential pair of trace events in the sequence of trace events. A time stamp is formed to associate with each trace event of the sequence of trace events, wherein each time stamp has an associated time stamp granularity, wherein the time stamp has the default time stamp granularity if the elapsed time between a current trace event and a sequentially prior trace event is less than 2**N time slots, otherwise the time stamp granularity is slid to a larger value such that the elapsed time can be represented by N bits, whereby a small number N of bits can accurately represent a large range of elapsed times.

Abstract: A high-efficiency filter for removing or collecting trace levels of chemical compounds includes a randomly oriented glass substrate, a primer coating and a carbon coating. The present filter is operable to sample or remove chemical compounds from the air with a high volumetric capacity while maintaining a low pressure drop across the filter substrate. A method for making the present filter includes providing a glass substrate with randomly oriented glass fibers which is treated to remove any glue or other substances; the substrate is then coated with a primer including polydimethylsiloxane; and the primed substrate is then coated with a carbonaceous compound including polydimethylsiloxane.

Abstract: In at least some embodiments, a computing system includes a processor and a debug module coupled to the processor. The debug module controls an emulation environment for debugging code, the emulation environment having a first mode that enables time-critical code to execute while non-time-critical code is halted and a second mode that halts execution of both time-critical code and non-time-critical code. The computing system also includes switch logic in communication with the processor and the debug module, wherein the switch logic enables dynamic switching between the first and second modes.

Abstract: A storage vessel for holding between shaves a wet razor with its head and cutting blade submerged in a liquid and its handle held out of the liquid and dry. The vessel liquid is comprised of a mixture of hydrophobic and hygroscopic materials and of anti-viral and anti-bacterial materials, effective to reduce cutting blade oxidation due to exposure to water and air during nonuse storage and to maintain the blade sharp and sanitary for shaving comfort. These materials specifically might be mineral oil and calcium chloride (CaCl2), and nano-gold or nano-silver.

Abstract: A machine for making bags from sheet material of indeterminate length, especially thermoplastic material, has a pair of spaced folders of special construction for folding the material lengthwise. The entry end of the machine can be adjusted as to height. An applicator for adhesive tape can be positioned between the folders. A special construction thermowelds the folded layers together along transverse lines and severs or perforates them along those lines.

Abstract: A signature hopper is provided comprising a first drum having a first gripper for a lead edge of a folded signature, a second drum having a second gripper for an open edge of the folded signature, the second gripper having a gripper finger with an end curled in a direction of rotation of the second drum, a dipper blade for pushing the open edge from the first drum toward the second drum so as to contact the gripper finger and a stationary signature guide spaced with respect to the first drum, the signature contacting the signature guide as the first drum rotates the signature past the signature guide.

Abstract: Systems and methods for improved power profiling of embedded applications are presented. These inventions provide the ability to unobtrusively measure the power consumption of an embedded application as the application is executing on its target hardware. The unobtrusiveness is achieved by using programmable emulation circuitry in the target system processor and available device debug terminals on the test port.

Abstract: A coin processing system includes a coin input area for receiving coins from a user, and a coin processing module for receiving and counting the coins from the coin input area. The coin processing module includes a coin hopper, a coin processing area, and a foreign object removal system. The coin hopper receives the coins from the coin input area. The coin processing area receives and counts the coins from the coin hopper. The foreign object removal system is located at least partially within the coin hopper, and removes a foreign object from the coin hopper subsequent to receiving the foreign object from the coin input area.

Abstract: A combination lipstick and breath freshener barrel dispenser accommodates both lipstick and breath fresheners therein. A single tubular lipstick dispenser includes a hollow cap housing closing the lipstick barrel, wherein the cap separately dispenses breath freshener therefrom, such as mint tablets or dissolvable wafer film strips. The dispenser may include a miniature version of pump spray or aerosol propelled breath spray with integral dispensing cap, or a flexible liquid dispenser which attaches to the end of a standard lipstick cover. Alternatively, the cap may be a further cap upon the lipstick barrel cap, and may alternatively dispense a cosmetic cake block, such as lip gloss or lip balm therefrom.
