  • Patent number: 7094409
Abstract: The present invention is related to the fields of molecular biology, virology, immunology and medicine. The invention provides a composition comprising an ordered and repetitive antigen or antigenic determinant array, and in particular an array comprising a protein or peptide of IL-5, IL-13 or eotaxin. More specifically, the invention provides a composition comprising a virus-like particle and at least one protein, or peptide of IL-5, IL-13 and/or eotaxin bound thereto. The invention also provides a process for producing the conjugates and the ordered and repetitive arrays, respectively. The compositions of the invention are useful in the production of vaccines for the treatment of allergic diseases with an eosinophilic component and as a pharmaccine to prevent or cure allergic diseases with an eosinophilic component and to efficiently induce immune responses, in particular antibody responses.

  • Publication number: 20050194754
Abstract: A cart assembly comprises an undercarriage supporting a cart frame, the undercarriage having one end and a connecting portion extending from cart frame and/or the undercarriage for connecting the cart assembly with an adjacent article, the cart frame including a handle portion disposed at an elevation for manipulation by a human operator in an upright standing position to steer or otherwise control the cart assembly, and an actuating member mounted on the handle portion for actuating the connecting portion between a first connecting position and a second disconnecting position.

  • Patent number: 6854940
Abstract: A blind rivet having a mandrel with a predetermined breakable stem disposed within a body with a bored shank. A radial flange is formed on one end of the shank to engage a workpiece and at the other end of the shank there is disposed within the shank an enlarged head of the stem the diameter of which is greater than the diameter of the bore of the shank. The breakneck of the stem formed with at least two series of radial impressions formed around the circumference of the shank at predetermined distances from the flange. Ribs are formed alternately between the radial impressions in the same horizontal series therewith.

  • Publication number: 20020119024
Abstract: A blind rivet formed with a tubular shell, and a mandrel extending through the shell. The shell has an outwardly extending flange at one end forming a rivet head, and having a first set of radial indentations arranged around the periphery of the shell at a first distance from the rivet head, and a second set of radial indentations arranged around the periphery of the shell at a second distance from the rivet head. Each of the radial indentations are formed by crimping them in the rivet shell after the shell has been positioned around the mandrel with the end of the shell remote from the rivet head defining the blind end of the rivet shell. Lastly, the mandrel having a head formed at one end to abut against the blind end of the shell, and the stem extending from the head having a point of weakness part way along the length thereof disposed within the shell.

  • Patent number: 6227222
Abstract: A gas compressor system draws and compresses gas from a well, wherein the gas has entrained liquid and vapor. The apparatus has a scrubber vessel for receiving the gas and separating at least a portion of the liquid. A storage vessel integral with the scrubber stores seal liquid. The seal liquid is injected into the gas before a single stage liquid ring pump which uses the seal liquid to compress the gas. The compressed gas along with entrained seal liquid is routed to a separator vessel having a coalescing filter. The entrained seal liquid is separated from the gas and routed back to the storage vessel.
