The pressure actuating device applies pressure to the fluid reservoir, such that when the septum portion of the fluid reservoir is pierced by the by the flow cannula, liquid stored in the fluid reservoir is released from the fluid reservoir into the infusion cannula of the infusion base via the flow cannula. The basal hub is configured to deliver a basal dose of insulin during periods of inactivity, such as during sleep time.
