Abstract: A method for reducing malodors in hydrotropes, such as alkyl aryl sulfonates, is provided that reduces and/or eliminates some or all of the detectable residual odoriferous compounds from hydrotropic compositions using a malodor treatment material, such as, for example, activated carbon. In one aspect of a preferred embodiment of the invention, a malodor treatment material enables the reduction and/or elimination of residual odoriferous compounds from hydrotropic compositions while keeping intact the active hydrotrope solids.

Abstract: An enhanced bolt control system for safes and the like utilizes a reversible motor and worm gear drive that operates the deadbolt linkage. An electronic control with a microcomputer interface drives the motor control and the system may be operated by a keypad or a remote wireless control device.

Abstract: A security container with an electronic lock circuit is used to securely store mechanical keys or other valuable items. Items to be protected are placed in a secured location in the security container. A detector of the security container detects whether the items are indeed in the secured location, such as by means of receiving signals from a transponder attached to the items. Audit trail records for the locking and unlocking events of the security container may be downloaded for analysis. Abstract: A bayonet locking system for vending machines or the like is provided for locking and unlocking the machine preferably with a remotely controlled electronic operating device. The lock system includes at least one axially and rotationally movable bayonet that can be mounted selectively on the door of the machine and at least one receptacle receiving device disposed within the interior of the machine and positioned for engagement by the bayonet when the door is moved between an open position, an intermediate position, and a closed position. When the door is manually moved from the open position to the intermediate position, the bayonet advances into the receptacle and rotates to capture it in the receptacle. Then the bayonet axially retracts to pull the door into the closed position wherein a gasket disposed between the door and the vending machine is substantially uniformly compressed and sealed around its periphery.

Abstract: A neon lighting system for an illuminated vending machine or the like includes a neon tube having projecting conducting leads from each of its ends; conductive end caps sealingly affixed to said tube ends in contact with said leads and forming plug ends for the tube; power supply conductor wires have boot ends containing receptacles connected to said wires; and are adapted to snap on to and off from the tube plug end caps for quick placement and replacement of the neon tube. The boot ends are preferably formed with holding means for quick attachment and removal from brackets provided on the machine door structure.

A second or alternate color of soap pellet is separately introduced into the interior of the plodder just before that point where the helical screw of the plodder enters the barrel of the extruder portion of the plodder.
