The data acquisition system also has an identification module disposed on the work machine and configured to receive an input corresponding to a machine operator. The data acquisition system further has a controller disposed on the work machine and in communication with the at least one sensor and the identification module. The controller is configured to record and link the signal and the input. The data acquisition system additionally has a communication module disposed on the work machine and in communication with the controller. The communication module is configured to transfer the recorded and linked signal and input from the controller to an off-board system.

Abstract: Access to a bus is granted to one of a number of requesting communication circuits that each submitted a bus control request during a request period of an arbitration period in response to the entries in a priority table. If a requesting communication circuit has an identity and priority that match the identity and priority of a communication circuit stored in a row of the priority table that corresponds with the arbitration period, access to the bus is granted to the requesting communication circuit.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and products are disclosed for detecting an intrusion to a communications network. One embodiment describes a system for detecting intrusions. The system has a peripheral card coupled to a host computer system. The peripheral card has a communications portion and a processor managing the communications portion. The communications portion has only a capability for receiving data packets via a communications network. The communications portion lacks capability of transmitting the data packets via the communications network. The communications portion of the peripheral card reduces intrusion of the communications network.

Abstract: A chair having a metal rod frame back assembly where the frame includes generally horizontal top, bottom and middle members and spaced apart generally vertical side members. Two seat brackets are welded to the middle and bottom members and attach to a seat board and two rod segments are welded to the side members. The seat board is covered with foam and upholstery. The back frame may be covered with springy mesh to give a thin elegant, yet comfortable back structure. Alternatively, foam is glued to a structural material and the material and foam combination and the frame are covered with upholstery. Arms and armrests are attached to the seat board and the seat and back assemblies with arms are mounted to a pedestal connected to a five spoke base riding on casters.

The security system also has an input device in communication with the controller. The security system further has an off-board system disposed at a location remote from the work machine and configured to receive a change to the list of access codes and to store the change in at least one removable memory device. The security system further has a memory reader in communication with the controller. The memory reader is configured to read the at least one removable memory device and to transfer the change from the at least one removable memory device to the memory of the controller.

Abstract: An apparatus for imaging objects with x rays using an x-ray tube, refractive x-ray lens and area detector. Cross sectional images of individual planes within an object are achieved through tomographic and laminographic exposure and image processing. The use of refractive x-ray lenses to achieve high resolution eliminates the need for vanishingly small microspot x-ray sources to achieve high resolution that current x-ray tomographic and laminographic systems suffer.

Preferred implementations of the invention do not require users to manually identify connection types (e.g., RFID, IPphone, manufacturing device, etc.) or to manually configure the network device. Accordingly, such implementations allow automatic switch configuration, even for devices that use inconsistent protocols and/or protocols that are not well known. Some methods of the invention employ DHCP options combined with traffic snooping to identify devices and automatically apply appropriate switch port configuration.

The first long code is different from the second long code. A transmitter transmits the first long code and the second long code at a first phase angle and at a second phase angle, respectively, on a carrier signal over a communications channel using radio waves. The first long code and the second long code may be transmitted at an in-phase (I) angle and at a quadrature-phase (Q) angle, respectively, on the carrier signal. From the communications channel, an I acquisition circuit and a Q acquisition circuit may acquire, in parallel, the first long code and the second long code from the I angle and the Q angle, respectively, of the carrier signal by searching, in parallel, N/2 chips of the first long code and the second long code.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing scalable, reliable, power-efficient, high-capacity data storage, wherein large numbers of closely packed data drives having corresponding metadata and parity volumes are individually powered on and off, depending upon their respective usage. In one embodiment, the invention is implemented in a RAID-type data storage system which employs a large number of hard disk drives that are individually controlled, so that only the disk drives that are in use are powered on. The reduced power consumption allows the disk drives to be contained in a smaller enclosure than would conventionally be possible. In a preferred embodiment, the data protection scheme is designed to utilize large, contiguous blocks of space on the data disk drives, and to use the space on one data disk drive at a time, so that the data disk drives which are not in use can be powered down.
