  • Publication number: 20110206624
Abstract: Photostable cosmetic compositions comprising sunscreens, more particularly to cosmetic compositions comprising dibenzoylmethane sunscreens are provided. It is known that dibenzoylmethane and its derivatives are relatively sensitive to ultraviolet radiation and they decompose rapidly under the effect of sunlight. This decomposition is accelerated in the presence of UV-B sunscreens, especially p-methoxycinnamic acid and its derivatives. The present inventors have surprisingly found that cosmetic compositions comprising dibenzoylmethane or its derivative and p-methoxycinnamic acid or its derivative, can be stabilized by incorporating a combination of fatty alcohol ethoxylates and polyalkyleneglycol.

  • Publication number: 20100265861
Abstract: An apparatus and method for improving WLAN spectrum efficiency and reducing interference by flow control comprising determining if at least one data packet is entering a receive buffer; determining if the utilization of the receive buffer is greater than an overflow threshold; determining if a wireless device is in power save mode, wherein the wireless device comprises the receive buffer, a WLAN transceiver and a send buffer for storing packets from an interface module to the WLAN transceiver; determining if the send buffer is empty; setting a power management bit to “1” in either a top-most packet in the send buffer or a NULL packet; and using the WLAN transceiver for transmitting either the top-most packet or the NULL packet to an access point.

Abstract: In one of the embodiments of the disclosure, there is provided an aircraft insulation system and method for providing fire penetration resistance and/or thermal and acoustic protection. The aircraft insulation system comprises one or more insulation blankets, each having an inboard side and an outboard side. The aircraft insulation system further comprises a fire penetration resistant cover material having a heat seal adhesive, wherein the fire penetration resistant cover material covers the outboard side of the one or more insulation blankets. The aircraft insulation system further comprises an insulation cover film having a heat seal adhesive, wherein the insulation cover film covers the inboard side of the one or more insulation blankets. The aircraft insulation system further comprises a thermal heat seal that joins the fire penetration resistant cover material and the insulation cover film together to form a continuous insulation blanket assembly.

  • Publication number: 20100099358
Abstract: An electronic device includes a first receiver configured to receive a first wireless signal, and a first timing module configured to wake up the first receiver from a first sleep state and to generate a synchronization signal indicating a wakeup time of the first receiver. The electronic device also includes a second receiver configured to receive a second wireless signal, and a second timing module configured to receive the synchronization signal and to wake up the second receiver from a second sleep state based on the synchronization signal.

  • Publication number: 20080295171
Abstract: A wireless node in a wireless network examines data packets directed to itself (i.e., value in destination address field indicates that the wireless node is an intended recipient)for presence of anomalies that suggest intrusion. The data packet is examined as part of the normal course of operation of the node. Upon detection of an anomaly, the wireless node sends a message packet containing details of the anomaly to a sentinel device. The sentinel device processes the anomalies to determine if a possibility of intrusion is indicated, and activates a spy routine in the wireless node. The spy routine enables further investigation into the intrusion. As components (such as wireless nodes) in the wireless network operate normally (normal operations) until an anomalous condition/event occurs, the additional power requirements for intrusion detection are reduced. If intrusion is detected, appropriate actions, such as alerting an operator, are taken to mitigate the intrusion.

  • Publication number: 20080222642
Abstract: Allowing for resource attributes that may change dynamically while the resource is in use, provides for dynamic changes to the manner in which such resources are managed. Management of dynamic resource attributes by clusterware involves new entry points to clusterware agent modules, through which resource-specific user-specified instructions for discovering new values for resource attributes, and for performing a user-specified action in response to the new attribute values, are invoked. A clusterware policy manager may know ahead of time that a particular resource has dynamic attributes or may be notified when a resource's dynamic attribute has changed and, periodically or in response to the notification, request that the agent invoke the particular resource-specific instructions for discovering new values for attributes for the particular resource and/or for performing a user-specified action in response to the new attribute values. During the majority of this process, the resource remains available.

  • Publication number: 20080037751
Abstract: An exemplary method and system are described for providing an easy to use interface for establishing multi-media audio conference calls involving a leader and a plurality of participants. A web-based interface can be used by the leader for establishing, controlling, and providing information associated with the call. Participants can also access the web-site for receiving information associated with the call and receiving status information regarding the conference call. In one embodiment, an address organizer can be used to select participants by the leader and schedule an audio conference call with the recipients having the opportunity to accept, decline, or indicate an alternative telephone number at which they can be reached.

  • Patent number: 7284212
Abstract: Reducing the number of computations required to pre-characterize cells in a cell-library. In an embodiment, a worst case vector which propagates most noise on an arc (combination of input pin and output pin) of a cell is determined, and NP characteristics and NIC are generated only for the worst case vector. Noise analysis is then performed using such curves generated from the worst case vector. Since curves corresponding to only the worst case vector may need to be generated, the computational requirements may be reduced. The search ranges in determining the immunity transition points forming the NIC may be reduced, according to some aspects of the present invention. The data corresponding to NIC may be used to generate NP curves, and vice versa to reduce computational requirements further.

  • Publication number: 20030169911
Abstract: A method, system and program for imaging the arterial system provides for obtaining arterial phase image data of a body part with a contrast agent in the arterial vessels but substantially not in the venous vessels. Also obtained is venous phase image data of the body part with the contrast agent in both the arterial vessels and the venous vessels. Arterial image data and venous image data is isolated from the arterial phase image data and/or the venous phase image data. One or both of the isolated arterial image data and the isolated venous image data is altered to produce altered arterial image data and/or altered venous image data. Images derived from the altered arterial image data and or altered venous image data are displayed superimposed on one another.
