  • Patent number: 8917582
Abstract: A method and system are described for canceling an echo signal with an echo canceller in the analog domain. In one embodiment, a system includes an echo canceller that includes an interpolation unit, operating in a digital domain, that receives a first digital echo estimate signal from an LMS unit and generates a second digital echo estimate signal without oversampling. A digital-to-analog converter (DAC) receives the second digital echo estimate signal and generates an analog echo estimate signal without oversampling. The echo canceller prevents the DAC from adding a high frequency component to the analog echo estimate signal. A subtractor adds the analog echo signal to an incoming signal having an echo signal. The subtractor generates an analog signal with reduced echo signal in the useful frequency band of the incoming signal.

  • Patent number: 8849763
Abstract: Various systems and methods for using multiple clients for data backup are described. For example, one method involves accessing a namespace, where the namespace indicates locations of files. At least a portion of the namespace is divided into sets, where the sets correspond to a subset of the files. The files of the subset are accessed by plurality of nodes, and the accessing is based on the sets. Each of the nodes accesses the files of the subset. • Patent number: 8615492
Abstract: Techniques for providing multiplexed data for backup are disclosed. In one particular exemplary embodiment, the techniques may be realized as a method for providing multiplexed data for backup comprising determining one or more criteria for a set of data to be backed up by a backup device, wherein the one or more criteria are based at least in part on reducing encryption overhead for the set of data. The method further includes identifying one or more sets of data to form a multiplexed backup based upon the one or more sets of data meeting the one or more criteria, and transmitting the one or more identified sets of data to the backup device for backup.

  • Patent number: 8416673
Abstract: A method and system are described for canceling far end cross-talk in communication systems. A first transmitter transmits the first effective data source signals across the first channel. A second transmitter transmits the second effective data source signals across the second channel. In one embodiment, a receiver unit receives first and second effective data source signals across a first channel and a second channel, respectively, and also one or more cross-talk signals. A far end cross talk (FEXT) canceller located in the receiver unit receives second estimated effective data source signals based on the second effective data source signals. The receiver unit cancels the one or more cross-talk signals using the second estimated effective data source signals.

  • Publication number: 20110044216
Abstract: A method and system are described for canceling an echo signal in analog domain with adaptive filters working in digital domain. In one embodiment a system includes an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) sampling at two different phases to generate a first error signal and a second error signal having different phases. The ADC operates at a frequency significantly lower than the frequency at which the individual filters run. The first adaptive filter unit and a second adaptive filter unit are independently trained with the first and second error signals. respectively.
