  • Publication number: 20220171792
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for ingestion partition auto-scaling in a time-series database are disclosed. A first set of one or more hosts divides elements of time-series data into a plurality of partitions. A second set of one or more hosts stores the elements of time-series data from the plurality of partitions into one or more storage tiers of a time-series database. An analyzer receives first data indicative of the resource usage of the time-series data at the first set of one or more hosts. The analyzer receives second data indicative of the resource usage of the time-series data at the second set of one or more hosts. Based at least in part on analysis of the first data and the second data, the analyzer initiates a split of an individual one of the partitions into two or more partitions.

  • Publication number: 20220172723
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to determining communication inclusivity amongst speakers during a user communication. Communication inclusivity is a targeted analysis that collectively evaluates speaking opportunities (provided and taken by users) during a user communication and thought completion during speech associated with the user communication. To derive communication inclusivity, a user communication is modeled as a probabilistic interaction between speakers, where a sequence of speaking states of the user communication is identified and analyzed. Non-limiting examples of speaking states comprise: active user speech; periods of silence; overlapping speakers; icon indication; questions in corresponding chat windows; combination states; other contextual signals; and any combination thereof. With these observed sequences of speaking states, a probability distribution is modeled over transitions between states to predict inclusivity of a user communication.

  • Patent number: 11349724
Abstract: An approach for a software defined networking manager to perform a predictive analysis of proposed modifications to a software defined network (SDN) is presented. A method comprises receiving entity logical associations that are captured in a set of rules implemented in a SDN. Once a proposed modification to the entity logical associations is received, without implementing the proposed modification and without modifying the set of rules, impacted entity associations, from the entity logical associations, are identified. Upon receiving input indicating that the proposed modification is to be accepted, an updated set of rules for the SDN is generated by updating the set of rules based on the proposed modification, and the updated set of rules is implemented in the SDN.

  • Patent number: 11346086
Abstract: An autonomous earth moving system can select an action for an earth moving vehicle (EMV) to autonomously perform using a tool (such as an excavator bucket). The system then generates a set of candidate tool paths, each illustrating a potential path for the tool to trace as the earth moving vehicle performs the action. In some cases, the system uses an online learning model iteratively trained to determine which candidate tool path best satisfies one or more metrics measuring the success of the action. The earth moving vehicle the executes the earth moving action using the selected tool path and measures the results of the action. In some implementations, the autonomous earth moving system updates the machine learning model based on the result of the executed action.

Abstract: The disclosed technology generally relates to ferroelectric materials and semiconductor devices, and more particularly to semiconductor memory devices incorporating doped polar materials. In one aspect, a semiconductor device comprises a capacitor which in turn comprises a polar layer comprising a base polar material doped with a dopant. The base polar material includes one or more metal elements and one or both of oxygen or nitrogen. The dopant comprises a metal element that is different from the one or more metal elements and is present at a concentration such that a ferroelectric switching voltage of the capacitor is different from that of the capacitor having the base polar material without being doped with the dopant by more than about 100 mV. The capacitor stack additionally comprises first and second crystalline conductive oxide electrodes on opposing sides of the polar layer.

  • Patent number: 11346080
Abstract: When an EMV performs an action comprising moving a tool of the EMV through soil or other material, the EMV can measure a current speed of the tool through the material and a current kinematic pressure exerted on the tool by the material. Using the measured current speed and kinematic pressure, the EMV system can use a machine learned model to determine one or more soil parameters of the material. The EMV can then make decisions based on the soil parameters, such as by selecting a tool speed for the EMV based on the determined soil parameters.

  • Publication number: 20220164747
Abstract: A micromobility transit vehicle service task management system and related methods are disclosed. In one embodiment, a system determines service tasks to be executed based on a level of availability of one or more micromobility transit vehicles. A value for each of the tasks is determined based on a cost to perform the task and value generated by an increase in availability of the one or more micromobility transit vehicles, for dynamic transportation matching, from execution of the task. The tasks may be prioritized into an order of execution that maximizes a total of the values of the tasks. The determined values of the tasks may be adjusted in the prioritization of the tasks based on the order of execution of the tasks. A navigational task route may be generated based on the prioritized tasks and assigned to a technician device to guide a technician to each of the tasks.
