Edge clusters may be programmed to control access to applications executing in the cloud computing platform. A network object is created and represents network resources, such as IP addresses, subnetworks, or virtual networks. Permissions of one or more entities to access the network resources are associated with the network object. Identifiers of entities, including other network resources, are added to the network object to indicate network connections to the network resources. The edge clusters, and possibly one or more virtual networks, are configured by a network orchestrator according to the network object to implement the permissions and network connections.

A platform determines and meets the performance requirements of a workload by scaling a performance capability of a group of processing units such as central processing units (CPUs) which are assigned to service the workload. This can involve increasing the power (P) state of one or more of the processing units to a highest P state in the group, so that every processing units in the group provides the same performance for a given workload. The platform can manage scaling of the processing units performance by reading a performance profile list which indicates minimum and maximum scaling points for programs that are executed to service the workload.

    Abstract: A method is used for preserving dlmetmyoglobin enzyme in meat and poultry. The method comprises the steps of: packing a master bag containing the meat or poultry; flushing the master bag with a non-oxygen gas to reduce a residual oxygen level within the master bag to 1% or less; sealing the master bag; and storing the master bag at a temperature between 28° and 42° F. The master bag comprises: a material exhibiting gas permeability for oxygen of less than 10 mL/m2/24 hours at 23° C.; and a self-activated oxygen scavenger material in an atmosphere of greater than 70% relative humidity. An oxygen absorption rate of the self-activated oxygen scavenger material is calculated by a first order oxygen absorption using Arrhenius equation, so as to achieve a zero oxygen storage atmosphere within 24 hours after sealing, and being able to function at a temperature range between 28° and 40° F.

The method also includes identifying a set of features that are within a selected distance from the identified location, filtering the set of identified features to obtain only curated features that are within the selected distance from the identified location, determining a distance between each curated feature and the identified location, and inferring an access point for the identified location based on the distances determined between each curated feature and the identified location. The inferred access point can then be provided to enable the autonomous vehicle to perform a pickup or drop-off.

    Abstract: A scalable cache coherency protocol for system including a plurality of coherent agents coupled to one or more memory controllers is described. The memory controller may implement a precise directory for cache blocks from the memory to which the memory controller is coupled. Multiple requests to a cache block may be outstanding, and snoops and completions for requests may include an expected cache state at the receiving agent, as indicated by a directory in the memory controller when the request was processed, to allow the receiving agent to detect race conditions. In an embodiment, the cache states may include a primary shared and a secondary shared state. The primary shared state may apply to a coherent agent that bears responsibility for transmitting a copy of the cache block to a requesting agent. In an embodiment, at least two types of snoops may be supported: snoop forward and snoop back.

Each beam forming channel is associated with a register bank containing M register sets for configuring such things as gain/amplitude and phase parameters of the beam forming channel. The register banks for all beam forming channels can be pre-programmed and then fast beam switching circuitry allows all beam forming channels across the array to be switched to use the same register set from its corresponding register bank at substantially the same time, thereby allowing the phased array system to be quickly switched between various beam patterns and orientations. Active power control circuitry may be used to control the amount of electrical power provided to or consumed by one or more individual beam forming channels such as to reduce DC power consumption of the array and/or to selectively change the effective directivity of the array.
