  • Patent number: 10800895
Abstract: A plurality of polymer slides, each having a polymer part with a first polymer surface portion uncoated and a second surface portion coated with a metal. The first and second surface portions each have different surface coating properties and have respective first and second specified degrees of hydrophobicity which are different from each other. A hydrophobic small molecule is located in the polymer part of each polymer slide, and the hydrophobic small molecule and the polymer are essentially inert to one another. Adjacent polymer slides are arranged in a manner that the first polymer surface of one slide faces a metal coated second surface portion of another slide. The hydrophobic small molecule evaporates from said first polymer surface portion of the polymer part of one polymer slide onto the adjacent metal coated second surface portion of another polymer slide.

  • Patent number: 10293347
Abstract: A solid-bowl screw centrifuge is provided for the separation of multiphase material. The solid-bowl screw centrifuge has a centrifuge drum that is rotatable around an axis and the centrifuge drum has at least one outlet for discharging a phase of the material from the centrifuge drum. The outlet has a restrictor controlled by a floating body that floats on the material to adjust the outlet automatically in accordance with a liquid level of the material in the centrifuge drum, and the liquid level, in turn, is dependent on the throughput of the material. The restrictor may include a weighted body that is subjected to centrifugal force and also may include a restricting body arranged in a discharge port of the outlet. The outlet may include a deflection device for changing direction of the material flowing out to a direction that is transverse to the longitudinal axis.

  • Patent number: 10265704
Abstract: An outlet device of a solid bowl centrifuge for separating a multi-phase material is arranged on an end wall of a centrifuge bowl that rotates about a longitudinal axis. An outlet opening is formed in the end wall and has a deflecting apparatus configured so that a fluid of the material that has passed through the outlet opening is deflected toward the circumference of the end-wall. The deflecting apparatus has a segment spaced from the longitudinal axis by a segment radius and has a deflecting segment, along which the deflected fluid can be conducted toward the circumference of the end-wall before being thrown off laterally by the outlet device. The outlet device has a guide that brings the deflected fluid to a lower-energy positional potential in the gravitation field of the solid bowl centrifuge before being thrown off by the outlet device.
