Abstract: A drawer guide assembly for a movable structure such as a drawer in a furniture article allows for full or nearly full extension of the movable structure. A drawer guide assembly comprises a pull-out rail, a swing arm with one end hinged to the pull-out rail and having a track roller coupled thereto, a guide rail supporting the pull-out rail and communicating with the track roller, and a curved track disposed on the guide rail for receiving the track roller when a drawer is pushed into a furniture article.

Abstract: A rotary shelf for use within a cabinet which has first and second mounting brackets spaced apart and opposing each other attached to the bottom and to the top of the inside of the cabinet. The mechanism includes integrally formed shelves, a shelf and post securing mechanism wherein a notched member affixed to a mounting bracket cooperatively receives an engaging member to secure the post and shelves in a stationary position. The mechanism also includes a shelf and cabinet opening adjustment mechanism to permit threadable adjustment of the post and carried shelves with respect to the cabinet opening.

Abstract: An adjustable hinge for mounting a door on a frame of a furniture article includes a hinge arm with a first end portion articulated to the first hinge and with a second end portion on which is formed an adjustment member with a threaded adjustment screw opening and a pair of opposing lateral edge portions with depending flanges, each having a recess with a forward end having an abutment surface and a rearward end having a hook. The hinge also includes a second hinge member having portions defining an adjustment screw opening and a pair of opposing lateral edge portions with upstanding flanges, each of which has a forward projection and a rearward projection. The rearward projection pivotably engages the hook of the recess in the depending flange of the adjustment member with the forward projection confronting the abutment surface of the recess of the depending ledge of the adjustment member.

Abstract: A hinge for mounting a door on a frame of a furniture articles includes a first hinge member such as a hinge cup to be mounted to the door, a hinge arm connected at one end of the hinge arm to the hinge cup on a pivot pin fixed in the hinge cup, and a second hinge member in the form of a hinge plate disposed on the other end of the hinge arm. The hinge plate includes an elongate opening with a centrally disposed first section and adjacent sections communicating with the first section through first and second gap formed by projections extending from opposing sides of the elongate opening towards one another. A fastening screw can be premounted in the hinge arm plate by insertion into the first section of the elongate opening. The fastening screw is provided with a threaded section which engages the projection.

Abstract: A self-positioning cabinet rail for a drawer guide for supporting a drawer in a drawer opening of a furniture article such as a cabinet includes a rail member with front and rear ends, upper and lower ledges, a cabinet rail roller and a projection on the front end of the rail member extending substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the rail member. An extension member of a resilient or semiresilient material is disposed on the projection and extends below the bottom margin of the front end of the rail member to properly space the cabinet rail from the bottom of the drawer opening. The extension member also extends forward of the front margin of the front end of the rail member to provide an abutment surface or stop for the drawer front.

Abstract: A hanging file bar support assembly for a drawer includes at least one elongate rail with opposing ends adapted to be mounted on opposite walls of a drawer and at least one clip supported on the rail which has a clip body. The clip body is provided with a hook member extending from the front side of the clip body near an end of the clip body which engages a top edge of the rail and a detent member extending from its opposite end which engages a bottom edge of the rail. The clip body also has a cantilever member extending from its back side which is adapted to support an end of a hanging file bar.

Abstract: A hinge for mounting a door on a frame of a furniture articles includes a first hinge member such as a hinge cup to be mounted to the door, a hinge arm connected at one end of the hinge arm to the hinge cup on a pivot pin fixed in the hinge cup, and a second hinge member in the form of a hinge plate disposed on the other end of the hinge arm. Abstract: A bracket for mounting a drawer guide in a furniture article includes a plate member and one or more spring flanges disposed on the top surface of the plate member near the front end of the plate member to engage the drawer guide. One or more fasteners extends from the bottom surface of the plate member for attaching the bracket to the furniture article. A stop member extends from the top surface of the plate member and is disposed between the spring flanges to be received in an opening formed in a tongue portion of the drawer guide.

Abstract: An improved self mounting adjustable hinge which simplifies the pre-installation of a door on a frame resulting in greater efficiency and reduced costs associated with the production of furniture articles such as cabinets, desks and the like. The improved adjustable hinge includes a hinge cup mountable to a door, a hinge arm connected at one end to the hinge cup and a hinge plate connected to the other end of the hinge arm which includes a substantially D-shaped opening for mounting the hinge plate to the frame and securing the door to the frame. The D-shaped opening in the hinge plate is specifically dimensioned to allow a head of a pre-installed fastening screw to pass through the opening only when the hinge plate is tilted relative to the screw head.

Abstract: A drawer guide support bracket permits use of a standard length drawer guide in a furniture article, such as a cabinet, and provides a simple and efficient method of securely attaching the support bracket to a face frame member of the cabinet. The support bracket includes a bracket body having a drawer guide receiving portion and a fastening structure for securing the bracket to the face frame member and supporting the drawer guide thereon without decreasing the space needed to accommodate a standard length drawer guide. The support bracket includes a cut-away section within the bracket body for eliminating the interposing thickness of the bracket body between the supported drawer guide and the surface of the face frame member to which the bracket is secured. In another embodiment, the subject invention includes a staple-like support bracket in which the tongue portion of a drawer guide is strapped directly against the inside surface of a rear face frame member by the staple-like support bracket.

Abstract: A self-positioning cabinet rail for a drawer guide for supporting a drawer in a drawer opening of a furniture article, such as a cabinet, and including a means for spacing the cabinet rail a pre-determined distance from the bottom of the drawer opening. The self-positioning cabinet rail includes a rail member with front and rear ends, upper and lower ledges, a cabinet rail roller and a downwardly bent projection on the front end. The projection is angled downward to extend below the front end and in use, is positioned at the lower member of the drawer opening for spacing the cabinet rail with its front end at the drawer opening. The self-positioning cabinet rail also includes a bumper cover on the projection and extending forward of the front end to provide an abutment surface.

The fasteners include a positioning portion and a resilient spring leg which is extendable through the wall for releasably securing the base to the furniture article wall.

Abstract: A bracket for mounting a drawer guide supporting a moveable structure for use in a desk or cabinet with sidewalls and a desk or cabinet opening has a body portion with a bottom surface which carries at least one leg upstanding from the bottom surface for engaging a sidewall of the desk or cabinet and with a top surface spaced from the bottom surface which carries means for supporting a drawer guide in predetermined spaced relationship to the sidewall and desk or cabinet opening to enable movement of the moveable structure supported on the drawer guide through the desk or cabinet opening. The drawer guide is supported on the top surface of the body portion by one or more drawer guide mounting screws receivable in one or more mounting holes formed in the body portion top surface. The top surface of the body portion may also include portions defining a wing member engagable by the desk or cabinet opening.

Abstract: A snap-in mounting bracket for use in a desk or cabinet and with a drawer guide having a tongue portion includes a base carrying a pair of opposing retaining flanges resiliently connected to the base and configured to cooperatively receive a drawer guide tongue portion in snap-in engagement allowing lateral adjustment of the drawer guide with respect to the desk or cabinet. At least one support wall and preferably a pair of opposing support walls rigidly connected to the bracket base cooperatively support the engaged drawer guide tongue portion. One of the support walls may be provided with a notch for engaging the drawer guide to prevent lateral movement of the drawer guide. The bracket is supported on the desk or cabinet by fasteners such as fastening screws received through openings formed in the base and into the desk or cabinet.

A pivotally secured bearing member is positioned within and pivotally secured to the post and, when experiencing pivotal movement, moves back and forth relative to the inclined ramp. A screw is threadably received by the bearing member within the post and extends outside thereof to enable manual adjustment. The slide member, bearing member and screw are arranged so that the screw is adjustably accessible when a portion of the door is within the cabinet door opening to provide direct visual door adjustment within the door opening.

Abstract: A drawer guide for supporting a moveable structure such as a drawer in a furniture article includes a guide rail having a rotatable guide rail roller, which guide rail is mountable to the furniture article in a generally horizontally disposed position, and a pull-out rail for carrying the moveable structure, which pull-out rail has a pull-out rail upper ledge in rolling contact with the guide rail roller enabling forward and rearward horizontal movement of the pull-out rail and carried structure, and the pull-out rail is provided with a pull-out rail retaining member engaging the guide rail roller in a rearward position of the pull-out rail resisting forward movement of the pull-out rail.
