  • Patent number: 10519921
Abstract: The invention relates to an ignition device for triggering an ignition spark at a spark plug by way of an ignition generator. The latter includes a magnet wheel, which has two permanent magnets arranged at a spacing from each other in the peripheral direction and a magnetic yoke. The magnetic yoke carries a charging coil which charges an ignition capacitor, a primary coil and a secondary coil connected to the spark plug. During every passing of a permanent magnet, a voltage is induced in the coils, wherein, in order to trigger the ignition spark, the ignition capacitor is discharged via a switch element. In order to avoid an unwanted ignition at the bottom dead center of the piston, a device for reducing the voltage that occurs at the spark plug is provided.

  • Publication number: 20180354152
Abstract: A handheld work apparatus has a tool and a brake assembly for the tool. The brake assembly has an actuating element which acts on a brake element of the brake assembly. The actuating element is movable between a fixed position wherein the tool is not braked, and a released position, wherein the brake element brakes the tool. To fix the actuating element in the fixed position, an electromagnet is provided. The electromagnet interacts with an anchor on the actuating element. The anchor is mounted via a pivot joint on an anchor pin to be pivotable about a pivot axis. A guide includes a guide part connected to the anchor and a guide part connected to the yoke, wherein, in the fixed position of the actuating element, the guide parts guide the anchor relative to the yoke in a transverse direction of an outrigger of the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 10145346
Abstract: An electromagnetic fuel valve has a valve chamber, a valve element and a valve seat assigned to the valve element. The valve chamber is delimited by an electromagnetic drive which moves the valve element relative to the valve seat. The drive includes a receiving housing for a coil carrier with an electrical coil. A magnet core is inserted into the coil carrier and has an end section facing the valve element. At an open sealing end facing toward the valve chamber, a sealing element is arranged between the end section of the magnet core and the receiving housing. To achieve good sealing, that end section of the magnet core situated in the sealing element expands the sealing element and compresses the material thereof radially against the edge of the sealing end of the receiving housing to seal the valve chamber to the interior space of the receiving housing.

  • Publication number: 20180180195
Abstract: An electromagnetic valve has a valve chamber which has an inflow opening for supplying a liquid and an outlet for discharging the liquid. The valve includes a valve seat and a valve member that is assigned to the valve seat. The fluidic connection between the inflow opening and the outlet of the valve is interrupted when a valve seat is closed by the valve member. The valve member is held on an armature plate which is moved by an electromagnetic drive unit toward an end stop which is formed by a first stop surface. In order for the operative capability of the valve to be guaranteed in the case of wear on the end stop, the armature plate is assigned a second stop surface which upon a predefined wear on the first stop surface forms a downstream end stop.

  • Publication number: 20180139451
Abstract: The refinement of a lower-pel resolution motion estimation vector is made more effective by preceding the actual refinement with a determination of a context out of a set of context candidates based on coding costs of a set of lower-pel resolution vectors within a neighborhood of the lower-pel resolution motion estimation vector, wherein each context candidate is associated with a ranking among a set of higher-pel resolution candidate vectors surrounding the lower-pel resolution motion estimation vector. The actual refinement of the lower-pel resolution motion estimation vector to obtain the higher-pel resolution motion estimation vector may thus use the ranking associated with the context determined: sequentially arranged accordingly, the set of higher-pel resolution candidate vectors may be tested sequentially.

  • Patent number: 9873193
Abstract: A handheld work apparatus has a combustion engine which drives a tool of the work apparatus via a centrifugal clutch. The centrifugal clutch couples in an engagement rotational speed range (nK) which extends between a lower engagement rotational speed (nu) and an upper engagement rotational speed (no). The engine has a fuel supply device, an ignition device, a control device and a device for detecting the rotational speed (n) of the engine. A method for operating the handheld work apparatus makes provision for the rotational speed profile of the combustion engine to be monitored in the engagement rotational speed range (nK) and for the power (P) output for driving the tool to be increased from an operating power (P1) to an increased power (P2, P3) when the rotational speed profile corresponds with a predetermined rotational speed profile over a predetermined period of time (?t).
