  • Publication number: 20030168116
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for dividing an entering gas flow (1) into two split flows (20, 21), each of which flows through a branch (8, 9) of a line system. A control element (7) is provided, which executes a control motion (26) about a shaft (10) between a first position (27) and a second position (28). The entering gas flow (1) is divided continuously, by means of the adjustable control element (7), at a volumetric flow ratio VGas, and at the same time the control element (7) allocates a medium (5) to be metered, whose infeed point (3, 25) is associated with the control element (7), to the split flows (20, 21) at a different ratio VDOS.

  • Publication number: 20030105523
Abstract: A symmetrical, heart-shaped breast prosthesis has two identical notches which are arranged symmetrically with respect to a plane of symmetry dividing the prosthesis body into two equal halves and at an angle in the range between 30° and 90° between them, in such a way that, when the prosthesis is worn, only one of the two notches is essentially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the wearer's body. The notches have the effect that the prosthesis collapses slightly when the wearer is in the upright position and becomes flatter when the wearer is in the prostrate position. In the state when worn, the heart-shaped prosthesis which is symmetrical in the unshaped state becomes an asymmetrical prosthesis having a lateral branch and an upper branch which moves downwards when the wearer is in the upright position and slips upwards when the wearer is prostrate.

  • Publication number: 20030000583
Abstract: The pressure relief valve has a spring pressure-loaded diaphragm closing body (13), which in the closed position sealingly engages on a centrally positioned valve seating surface (10) surrounding a first valve opening (8). Its spring pressure loading takes place by means of a counterpressure body (13) positioned centrally over it. The valve seating surface (10) is surrounded by a channel-like valve chamber (11) in the valve housing body (2) and on which is provided on the overpressure side at least one second valve opening (9). To be able to dissipate high overpressures, the counterpressure body (30) is surrounded by a diaphragm support ring (17) held on the valve housing (6) and which has a circumferential recess (19), whose depth measured perpendicular to the diaphragm closing body (13) determines the maximum deflection of said body (13), so that when the valve is completely opened the diaphragm closing body (13) is supported in an area between the valve seating surface (10) and its outer edge.

  • Patent number: 6163938
Abstract: A garment fastener includes two constituent fastener components (1, 2) each of which is provided with a front disc and a back disc (3, 5; 4, 6) and a fabric section (8, 10) is sandwiched between these discs. In order to permit, to the greatest extent possible, one-handed manipulation and to cause the fastener components to center themselves automatically when in the closed state, one of the fastener components (1) is provided at its perimeter with a hooked, U-shaped projection (13) and the other, complementary fastener component (2) is provided within its perimeter with a counterhooked projection (15). In the closed state, the hook and counterhook are partly engaged. Each fastener component (1, 2) contains a magnet (11, 12) which allows the fastener components to attract each other and to mutually center themselves. A strong pull in the closing direction causes a further, more positive engagement between the hook and counterhook.

  • Patent number: 6136028
Abstract: A breast prosthesis worn in a brassiere or the like. It has a prosthesis y having a front side in the shape of a natural breast, a back side with a recess and a prosthesis edge which follows a closed line on which the front side and the back side both end. The prosthesis body has a soft elastic silicone rubber compound which is enclosed without any voids in a bag consisting of two elastically expandable plastic films joined tightly together along the edge of the prosthesis. When the wearer is lying down, the prosthesis should assume a stretched form, where the front side is flattened slightly. When the wearer stands upright, the upper part should sag downward slightly, with the lower and middle areas of the front side having a somewhat greater bulge.

  • Patent number: 6041594
Abstract: A mixture delivery device for introducing a reducing agent into an exhaust gas system of an internal combustion engine in which, a urea-water solution is introduced into a region of the exhaust gas system, upstream of a catalytic converter, through the introduction of compressed air, in order to bring about the reduction of nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas of the internal combustion engine. The mixture delivery device includes a mixture carrying line, with a first section that extends laterally to the exhaust gas flow and a second section that extends concentrically to a longitudinal axis of the exhaust gas system. The mixture carrying line is inserted into the exhaust gas system, wherein the urea-water solution is injected in the form of a cone into the exhaust gas upstream of the catalytic converter via blow-out openings embodied radially in the second section.
