  • Publication number: 20180014517
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a fishing lure which sinks to the bottom and upon retrieval it tends to rise to the top. The speed of rise depends upon the angle of the tongue in connection with the speed of retrieval, weight of the lure, size of the tongue, and fishing line placement to the bottom side of the tongue to the lure. The lure can be tethered by fishing line to an eyelet at a location on the bottom side of the tongue of the lure. This location may be along a range of locations on the bottom side of the tongue of the lure. This concept may be applied to any sinking lure that already exists, giving it the action of sinking down in the water and then swimming back up when line is retrieved.

  • Publication number: 20180016628
Abstract: The present invention provides methods of making and using self-assembled arrays of single polynucleotide molecules for carrying out a variety of large-scale genetic measurements, such as gene expression analysis, gene copy number assessment, and the like. Random arrays used in the invention are “self-assembled” in the sense that they are formed by deposition of polynucleotide molecules onto a surface where they become fixed at random locations. The polynucleotide molecules fixed on the surface are then identified by direct sequence determination of component nucleic acids, such as incorporated probe sequences, or by other decoding schemes. Such identification converts a random array of determinable polynucleotides, and their respective probes into an addressable array of probe sequences.

  • Publication number: 20180018076
Abstract: Approaches for generating virtual representations of smart objects in a 3D visual programming interface. The interface displays a 3D virtual environment containing virtual objects that represents a real-world environment containing smart objects. The 3D virtual environment displays virtual objects in a manner that is spatially accurate relative to the physical objects in the real-world environment. For each virtual object representing a physical object, a logic node (port node) is displayed, the port node representing the set of functions associated with the physical object. The interface enables users to create, delete, or modify different types of logic nodes (representing functions) and create, delete, or modify links (representing data connections) between logic nodes within the 3D virtual environment. The authoring of the logic nodes and links produces an executable program.

  • Patent number: 9871298
Abstract: A radio frequency (RF) energy harvesting device (rectenna) includes an antenna structure configured to resonate at RF frequencies, and a rectifying circuit that facilitates harvesting multiband RF signals having low energy levels (i.e., tens of mW and below) by utilizing two Zero Bias Schottky diodes having different forward voltage and peak inverse voltage values. Positive voltage pulses from a captured RF signal generated on a first antenna end point are passed by the first diode to a first internal node where they are summed with a second RF signal generated on the second antenna end point (i.e., after being passed through a capacitor), thereby producing a first intermediate voltage having a substantially higher voltage level. Positive voltage pulses are then passed from the first internal node through the second diode to an output control circuit for conversion into a usable DC output voltage.
