  • Publication number: 20230362822
Abstract: Aspects relate to signaling the parameters to be used for a communication schedule such as a target wake time (TWT) schedule. For example, a first wireless communication device (e.g., an access point or a peer station) may determine (e.g., specify or negotiate) the parameters for at least one TWT schedule and transmit a broadcast management frame (e.g., a beacon) that includes these parameters. A second wireless communication device (e.g., station) that receives the broadcast management frame may, based on the received parameters for one TWT schedule or the received parameters for multiple TWT schedules, elect to transmit during a transmission opportunity (TXOP) that is defined to not cross at least one boundary of a period of time indicated by the parameters.

  • Patent number: 11805558
Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for synchronized channel access. Some implementations more specifically relate to facilitating coexistence among wireless communication devices that support synchronized channel access and those that do not. A group of access points may schedule periodically recurring, synchronized channel access periods by periodically transmitting quiet elements. The quiet elements establish recurring quiet periods during which legacy devices are not permitted to transmit. In some implementations, an access point may transmit one or more quiet override elements each associated with a respective quiet element and indicating to other access points supporting synchronized channel access that they are permitted to contend for access during the respective quiet period.

  • Publication number: 20230345365
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses for wireless communication that can be used to establish a restricted target wake time (TWT) session on a wireless medium. In some implementations, an access point (AP) establishes a restricted TWT session for one or more wireless stations (STAs) associated with latency sensitive traffic, the restricted TWT session including restricted TWT service periods (SPs) during which the AP reserves access to the wireless medium for only the one or more STAs associated with the latency sensitive traffic. The AP transmits a clear-to-send (CTS) frame at a start of each restricted TWT SP, the CTS frame indicating to other STAs that the wireless medium is unavailable for a duration of the respective restricted TWT SP. The AP transmits latency sensitive data to or receives latency sensitive data from the one or more STAs during at least one of the restricted TWT SPs.
