  • Publication number: 20150331918
Abstract: A business intelligence (BI) document preserves references to identities and formats of remote data sources and allows a local computing device to offload analytical operations to remote data sources. The BI document specifies a graph of entities connected by directed edges from the output of one entity to an input of another entity. An entity, for example, can represent without limitation a data structure, an external data source, a control element, an external event source, a visualization, or an update service. The entities of a BI document at a local computing device can reference data at an original data source—rather than extracting data from the original data source to a preferred local datastore. An entity of the BI document can direct a remote data source to execute transformations on the remote data before returning a solution to the local computing device.

  • Patent number: 9110957
Abstract: A business intelligence document provides functionality for testing a hypothesis on aggregated data in a business intelligence document (e.g., a spreadsheet-like document), wherein one or more of the input data values and transformation properties are designated as constrained (e.g., invariant or constrained within a range, set, enumeration, or domain). The hypothesis, which is articulated as a data mining assertion, is input through the user interface of the business intelligence document (e.g., via an expression interface or properties of a row, column, or cell) and solved over the aggregated data. The solution is then presented through the user interface of the spreadsheet-like document, such as in a table, graph, histogram, etc.

  • Patent number: 9096734
Abstract: Composite prepreg including a gas venting network that allows multi-dimensional escape of gas from the prepreg during the curing process. Penetrable barriers are also provided between the matrix precursor elements to promote long-term storability of the prepreg at ambient temperatures. All or a portion of the gas venting network may be integrated with the penetrable barriers.

  • Patent number: 8825132
Abstract: An NMR experiment on hyperpolarizable magnetic nuclei of substrate molecules in a living human or animal body, involves polarizing the substrate molecules by non-hydrogenating para-hydrogen induced polarization (=NH-PHIP) into a singlet/pseudo singlet state in low magnetic field and injecting the substrate molecules into the living body, the body or a part thereof being previously located inside a magnet at low magnetic field. The magnet is switched on to high magnetic field, and in at least part of the substrate molecules, the singlet state/pseudo singlet state is converted into observable magnetization. An MRI or MRS measurement is carried out with the living body or the part thereof, collecting data from the substrate molecules. The NMR experiment is well applicable on hyperpolarized nuclei within a patient, with reduced losses of magnetization due to relaxation processes.

  • Publication number: 20140231157
Abstract: The invention provides a continuous track drive system (10) for cooperating with a pair of opposite drive wheels (18.1, 18.2) of a vehicle for converting the vehicle (12) into a half-track vehicle. In an operative configuration of the system, on each side of the vehicle, a continuous track (38) of the system runs around a drive wheel of the vehicle and a primary idler (36) of the system behind the drive wheel. The track defines between the wheel and the idler a bottom, traction run (40). A secondary idler (42) of the system bears against the outside of the track, at a position along a top run (46) of the track between the primary idler and the drive wheel, in a configuration in which the secondary idler induces and maintains an inward deflection or kink in the track for providing clearance between the track and the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 8154284
Abstract: An NMR method is presented having enhanced sensitivity on a compound comprising hyperpolarizable nuclei, in particular applying enhanced PHIP. Polarization is thereby transferred from a prepared fluid, which is enriched with symmetric molecules of a particular spin state (e.g. para-hydrogen enriched), directly to the hyperpolarizable nuclei of a compound, without altering the chemical identity of the compound in this process. Spin transfer is achieved using a template having sites of ordered environment, and the fluid and the compound are brought together in the presence of the template. Polarization transfer to the hyperpolarizable nuclei of the compound is thereby easier to perform and can be applied to a broader scope of compounds.
