  • Patent number: 4250053
Abstract: Iodonium and sulfonium photoinitiators are naturally sensitive to only a small portion of the electromagnetic spectrum.Various classes of sensitizing dyes for iodonium and sulfonium salts are disclosed herein.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 21, 1979
Date of Patent: February 10, 1981
Assignee: Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company
    Inventor: George H. Smith
  • Patent number: 4231951
Abstract: A triarylsulfonium complex salt is described which has particular utility as a photoinitiator for the polymerization of epoxide monomers in thick films or coatings. Photopolymerizable compositions are also described.

  • Patent number: 4039521
Abstract: Light sensitive diazonium compounds having an aromatic stable light sensitive nucleus with a bis-(fluorinated alkylsulfonyl) methide anion are found to be useful for many photosensitive systems. The fluorinated sulfonyl contains a highly fluorinated alkyl moiety.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 23, 1973
Date of Patent: August 2, 1977
Assignee: Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company
    Inventor: George H. Smith
  • Patent number: 3959608
Abstract: The operator's station of a lift truck is optionally elevatable with the carriage and the electric control interconnection between the operator's station, and the truck main frame includes a novel reel mechanism for the multiple lead electric conduit which does not use slip rings. The reel mechanism includes two drums which rotate together on a stationary shaft secured to the main frame. One drum is for coiling a flexible multi-lead round conduit which has its free end connected to the electric control console at the operator's station. The other drum contains a multiple lead flexible ribbon having its outer end connected to the inner end of the round conduit. The ribbon is coiled about the stationary shaft with its radially inner end passing through a hollowed portion of the stationary shaft and thence to a point of connection to a terminal block on the main frame.
    Type: Grant
