Publication number: 20170056031Abstract: A wedge osteotomy method inserts a first wire into a first bone of the foot, distal from tissue to be removed. A second wire is inserted into a second bone, so the tissue to be removed is distal from the second wire. A cut guide is pivoted about the first wire, until a first axis of the cut guide is parallel with a longitudinal axis of the first metatarsal. The cut guide has a slot perpendicular to the first axis for guiding a cutter to cut bone, while the first axis is aligned with the longitudinal axis of the first metatarsal. The cut guide is then pivoted about the second wire, until the first axis is aligned with the longitudinal axis of the talus, and bone is cut through the slot, to form a second planar cut into or through bone material.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 2, 2015Publication date: March 2, 2017Inventors: George Matthew AWTREY, Vinay D. Publication number: 20160019642Abstract: The present invention involves a system and method for coordinating the centralization of the submission of requests for offers for credit and receipt of offers for credit between an internet user and a plurality of lending institutions via the internet. This method involves the use of a single offer request form, which is the combination of required lender information from consumer credit processes, and the receipt of information from the user, and various semi-automated online processes, to populate that single offer request form. After receiving this data, a special computer, or server, sorts the information and applies a filter to the data. The filter prepares that information for submission to lending institutions so that the lending institution may process the information and make a decision as to whether to offer the internet user credit.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 23, 2015Publication date: January 21, 2016Inventors: Stephen James Dash, George Matthew Raptis, Brian Gregory Lucas

Publication number: 20150280667Abstract: This invention provides a way for the user of an amplifier to select the class of operation of the output power tubes. A microprocessor monitors the bias conditions and makes the necessary adjustments to set the amplifier in the user selected class of operation. In one embodiment of this invention the user selects the class of operation via a switch. The microprocessor calculates where the plate current should be per the selected class and adjusts the grid voltage until the proper plate current is achieved.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 29, 2014Publication date: October 1, 2015Inventor: Norman George Matthews

Publication number: 20140163709Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide an embedment positioning system that facilitates the positioning of a plurality of embedments along an edge of a concrete form. In one embodiment, the present disclosure provides an embedment positioning tape formed with embedment position indicators indicating the positions at which a plurality of embedments are to be positioned along a concrete form. In operation, a user unrolls and attaches the embedment positioning tape along the concrete form such that the control line location indicator lines up with the actual control line. The user then uses the embedment positioning indicators to position the embedments at the correct positions along the edge of the concrete form without having to hand-measure those positions for each embedment. The present disclosure also provides an embedment positioning tape forming system and method.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 3, 2013Publication date: June 12, 2014Applicant: lllinois Tool Works Inc.Inventors: Larry Moeller, Daniel Dina, William Todd Watson, George Matthew Davis

Patent number: 8621649Abstract: A technique provides a security-sensitive environment. The technique involves establishing a first secure channel from a trusted server to a first data source DA. The technique further involves establishing a second secure channel from the trusted server to a second data source DB. The technique further involves, while the trusted server performs a set of collaborative operations in which the trusted server (i) accesses the first data source through the first secure channel (ii) accesses the second data source through the second secure channel, and (iii) generates a set of collaborative results based on information from the first and second data sources (i.e., the output of f(DA,DB)), running a set of security policy compliance operations in the trusted server to inhibit unauthorized leakage of data in the set of collaborative results.Type: GrantFiled: March 31, 2011Date of Patent: December 31, 2013Assignee: EMC CorporationInventors: Marten Van Dijk, Ari Juels, Brian William Fitzgerald, George Matthews

Patent number: 8180811Abstract: A list of data structures (e.g., inodes) can be accessed, and the data structures in the list can be examined. If a data structure is examined, a counter value associated with the data structure is changed to a generation number that is associated with the examination. Subsequently, the counter values can be used to identify unreferenced data structures. More specifically, the counter value for an unreferenced data structure will be different from the generation number for the most recently performed examination.Type: GrantFiled: October 19, 2010Date of Patent: May 15, 2012Assignee: Symantec CorporationInventors: Nagaraj Shyam, Craig Keatley Harmer, George Matthew

Patent number: 7783978Abstract: The invention relates to a system and information processing device for user selectably presenting information. It comprises a display screen (101) having various areas or zones for facilitating the exploration of the information. A flow zone (102) shows links or pointers (103) to various information units or content, which links continuously flow in a certain direction. The user is allowed to control the flow speed and flow direction and select any link so as to view a full presentation (108) of the related content in a presentation zone (106). The flow zone may be controlled to include only links to selected content in dependence on a user selectable filter agent (105). Personal links may be stored into and loaded from a physical token, using a token detector (113) and token area (110) displaying the personal links. The token can be used to carry personal links between information processing devices of the system according to the invention.Type: GrantFiled: October 18, 2000Date of Patent: August 24, 2010Assignee: Koninklijke Philips Electronics N.V.Inventors: Anton Oguzhan Alford Andrews, Peter George Matthews, Lira Nikolovska
