  • Patent number: 11931011
Abstract: Devices for maintaining a telescope during a minimally invasive surgery (MIS) technique such as laparoscopy or thoracoscopy. A telescope maintenance assembly is comprised of a disc and a dome. The disc is absorbent and includes a central aperture. The dome is hollow and includes an inlet port, a lower protrusion, and outlet ports which abut against the disc when attached thereto. To prepare the assembly for use, the disc is secured about a proximal port of a trocar and the lower protrusion is inserted through the central aperture, and an anti-fog solution is transmitted into and through the dome to wet the disc. After the disc is wetted, the wetted disc can be used by a surgeon or assistant to wipe debris from a lens or other optical component of the telescope without needing to remove the telescope from the trocar.

  • Patent number: 11927523
Abstract: In flow cytometry, particles (2) can be distinguished between populations (8) by combining n-dimensional parameter data, which may be derived from signal data from a particle, to mathematically achieve numerical results representative of an alteration (48). An alteration may include a rotational alteration, a scaled alteration, or perhaps even a translational alteration. Alterations may enhance separation of data points which may provide real-time classification (49) of signal data corresponding to individual particles into one of at least two populations.

  • Publication number: 20240065636
Abstract: An oximeter probe that takes into account tissue color (e.g., skin color or melanin content) to improve accuracy when determining oxygen saturation of tissue. Light is transmitted from a light source into tissue having melanin (e.g., eumelanin or pheomelanin). Light reflected from the tissue is received by a detector. A compensation factor is determined to account for absorption due to the melanin. The oximeter uses this compensation factor and determines a melanin-corrected oxygen saturation value.

  • Patent number: 11818259
Abstract: A system for querying a state of aggregate N or creating a projection comprises an interface and a processor. The interface is configured to receive request to query the state of the aggregate N or to create a projection up to a target event and receive a client key. The processor is configured to rehash each event input data of the aggregate N with its corresponding sequence number and a prior event signature to generate a hash value; reencrypt the hash value using the client key to create a check signature; determine whether the check signature is equal to the prior event signature; in response to each check signature being equal to the prior event signature, replay the events of the aggregate N to generate and provide the state of the aggregate N; and in response to a check signature not being equal to the prior event signature, indicate that the aggregate N is not valid.

  • Patent number: 11740445
Abstract: An eye-mounted device includes a contact lens and an embedded imaging system. The front aperture of the imaging system faces away from the user's eye so that the image sensor in the imaging system detects imagery of a user's external environment. The optics for the imaging system has a folded optical path, which is advantageous for fitting the imaging system into the limited space within the contact lens. In one design, the optics for the imaging system is based on a two mirror design, with a concave mirror followed by a convex mirror.
