  • Publication number: 20220214801
Abstract: A method for recommending modification of user input includes receiving, by a graphical user interface (GUI) provided by a virtual keyboard application, user input representing a first word entered by a user. The virtual keyboard application accesses at least one word entered by the user prior to the entering of the first word. The virtual keyboard application determines an edit distance between the first word and each of a plurality of candidate modifications, based on analyzing the first word, the touchpoint and the at least one word entered prior to the entering of the first word, the plurality of candidate modifications selected from a dictionary in a language matching a language of the first word. The virtual keyboard application identifies a subset of the plurality of candidate modifications. The virtual keyboard application modifies the GUI to display at least one of the identified subset.

  • Patent number: 11338089
Abstract: An injection device comprising a housing (12) and a dose selector (16) to set a dose of medicament to be ejected from the injection device. A spring (20) coupled to the dose selector stores energy necessary for ejecting the dose from the injection device. A ratchet (25) arrangement is provided to rotationally couple a ratchet component and an internal surface of the housing in a coupled state and to allow relative rotation between the ratchet component and the internal surface of the housing in an uncoupled state. An over-torque feature (27) located between the dose selector and the spring is actuatable, when the rotation of the dose selector causes the charging force to exceed a defined limit, to reduce the charging force transferred from the dose selector to the spring. Both the ratchet component and the over-torque feature are provided on a single component (28).

  • Patent number: 11324893
Abstract: An injection device comprises a dose selector, rotatable by a user to set a dose to be ejected from the injection device and a drive assembly including a drive shaft (140) and a plunger element (145), the drive assembly being capable of providing an axial force for ejecting a dose of medicament from a medicament container. A dose limit nut (141) is provided which is rotationally coupled to but not axially coupled to said drive shaft. The plunger element is threaded so that the dose limit nut is engaged with said plunger element via said thread, in order to guide relative axial movement between the dose limit nut and the plunger element. The dose limit nut is provided with dose limiting endstops which are capable of limiting axial travel of said dose limit nut with respect to said plunger element, so as to limit maximum and minimum doses of medicament which can be set by the user.

  • Patent number: 11318500
Abstract: The composition of articles can be identified using luminescent codes printed or coated onto the articles (or labels on the articles) by means of an ink which contains long persistence luminescent materials. Radiation is used to excite the luminescent materials and this is then extinguished before the article passes beneath a spectrometer. An infrared beam then strikes the article in order to stimulate emission from the long persistence luminescent materials, via a detrapping mechanism, and the spectrometer detects the emission in order to identify the article.

  • Patent number: 11315376
Abstract: A security system includes a first security badge having a visual portion that varies according to signals provided to the first security badge and an authorization server that periodically provides signals to the first security badge in response to a query of the authorization server by the first security badge while the first security badge remains in a controlled zone, the signals varying independently of reader access of the first security badge. The first security badge may be read by a reader only in connection with initial entry into the controlled zone. Authorization of a user of the first security badge may vary while the user remains in the controlled zone. The first security badge may include a visual image of a user of the first security badge and displays additional information. The additional information may include name and authorization status of the user.

  • Publication number: 20220096997
Abstract: The disclosure provides seven integrated methods for the chemical sequestration of carbon dioxide (CO2), nitric oxide (NO), nitrogen dioxide (NO2) (collectively NOx, where x=1, 2) and sulfur dioxide (SO2) using closed loop technology. The methods recycle process reagents and mass balance consumable reagents that can be made using electrochemical separation of sodium chloride (NaCl) or potassium chloride (KCl). The technology applies to marine and terrestrial exhaust gas sources for CO2, NOx and SO2. The integrated technology combines compatible and green processes that capture and/or convert CO2, NOx and SO2 into compounds that enhance the environment, many with commercial value.
