  • Patent number: 6260242
Abstract: A reversible press button closure for shoulder straps of brassieres or back band connectors has soft attachment pieces secured to the garment and connected by pins and lugs with male and female ring members which are molded from a harder plastic and define the press button assembly. The male and female members match in appearance when they are interconnected so that the connector has the same appearance from both sides.

Date of Patent: July 17, 2001
    Assignee: Fildan Accessories Corporation

  • Patent number: 6186862
Abstract: A brassiere underwire is formed with a sewing flange only along the outer side thereof and extending from locations spaced from the tips continuously around the outer side of the underwire bight. At a central zone flexibility can be increased by providing holes in the sewing flange and/or by making the sewing flange narrower. The underwire is stitched through the sewing flange in forming the brassiere.

  • Patent number: 6149496
Abstract: A concealed front closure brassiere in which the closure has two closure members one of which is formed with the tongue while the other is formed with an eye in which the tongue is engaged with a snap fit. The closure members having sewing flanges which are coplanar and through which the flaps are stitched to the closure member so that their edges abut in the closed state of the closure. When the tongue is locked into the eye, inner surfaces of the eye and the tongue are flush with one another on the common plane of the brassiere.

  • Patent number: 6066027
Abstract: A brassiere of the underwire type has a "U" shaped stitched sheath beneath each cup of an open "U" configuration and into which a "C" shaped underwire with inwardly bent ends is inserted so that, in spite of the fact that the respective underwire assumes a "U" configuration of the sheath, the springy ends of the underwire tend to produce a roundness illusion of the cup. The wire has a circular cross section with a diameter of 1.5 to 2.5 mm and is composed of polyamide so as to be flexible in all directions and has flanges at its ends through one of which the wire is stitched to retain it in the respective sheath.

  • Patent number: 6059634
Abstract: A brassiere slide has a groove along the body side flank of each limb which delimits a pair of longitudinal edges which are engaged by the strap as it passes along one flank behind the crossbar and then along the other flank also with similar edges. In this system, there is a reduced tendency for the slider to shift autogenously along the strap.

  • Patent number: 6056625
Abstract: A brassiere slider has its crossbar recessed below the planes of edges of the longitudinal limits which limits sliding of the frame on a strap. The recessed configuration of the crossbar makes the assembly flatter and also increases the security against slide movement of the slider on the strap.

  • Patent number: 6056624
Abstract: A pin-and-eye connection is used to apply decorative members or stays or underwires, especially the foundation garments, utilizing a member which is stitched to the garment and preferably a cover member which conceals that stitching. Where the base is used as a decorative member, it can be provided with a circumference of pearl like formations.

  • Patent number: 6056626
Abstract: An extremely flat slide for brassiere straps has a cross bar offset to one side so that the strap loop around it lies wholly within the thickness of the slide. The strap section which passes through the ring affixed to the brassiere cup is attached to the slide, e.g. at the sewing flange or via a weld at a welding flange.

  • Patent number: 6019662
Abstract: An underwire for an underwire brassier has a metal wire bow provided at one end with a stitching flange and preferably formed at the other end with an elastomeric tip. A double-cup frame for the underwire brassiere has an inverted U-shaped bridge piece whose shanks receive the ends of plastic coated underwires. The shanks are connected unitarily by a bight which is flattened and can be grooved to increase flexibility. Upon twisting of the bight, the two underwires can be superposed, thereby increasing the flexibility of the frame and a brassiere in which the frame is incorporated.

  • Patent number: 6009604
Abstract: A front closure for a brassiere has male and female parts which have frame portions through which fabric parts of the respective cups can pass for attaching these cup portions to the closure members. The male member has a bar received in a trough or channel of the female member and is locked in place releasably by a partial rotation of the male member about the axis of the bar. The bar can be inserted at least in part transversely to the channel or trough when the plane of the male member is transverse to the plane of the female member.

  • Patent number: 5964642
Abstract: A shoulder strap connector for a garment has a first oval or circular member connected to one of the shoulder straps and a second oval or circular member connected to the other shoulder strap and provided with a hook engaging the first member so that the straps can be joined in an X pattern when desired. The hook projects inwardly substantially to an extension of the inner periphery of the second member and in any event lies inwardly of an extension of the outer periphery of the inner member.
