Abstract: A method for controlling the formation of an image on a printing form carrier for a printing machine, wherein image signals serving to generate a printing form are taken from a storage memory of a computer and fed to an imaging device, includes storing, in one region of the storage memory, image data for reproducing a subject to be evaluated after printing; storing, in another region, image data for reproducing a multiplicity of digital print control elements for use in printing machines in a printing plant; assigning a job for a selected printing machine and making a selection of image data for digital print control elements with which the job is optimally monitorable on the machine for performing the assigned job; and combining the image data for the selected print control elements with the image data for reproducing the subject in a further region in the storage memory, with the aid of the computer, to produce an image data set for forming an image on the printing form carrier.

Thus, the calling card becomes a calling card CD with a printed upper side, which can be visually detected by an eye, and an underside on which data can be recorded and read by a computer.

Abstract: An implant for implanting into human tissue includes a hermetically sealed, metallic housing for enclosing electronic means inside the housing for a high-frequency, telemetric information transfer between a programming device and the implant. The implant additionally includes a head for connecting a stimulation line. The housing comprises a metallic wall including groove-shaped recesses arranged at least on an inside of the metallic wall and which reduce a thickness of the metallic wall so that in a region of the recesses on the housing wall a material thickness does not fall below that which is necessary under operating conditions to ensure that the housing is impermeable to fluids.

Abstract: A device for determining the effect of pulsed primary magnetic fields on an organism has a measuring pick-up for secondary magnetic field signals generated by the organism in response to the primary magnetic fields. An evaluation circuit for the secondary magnetic field signals is provided. The evaluation circuit has a first memory device with a memory unit. The evaluation circuit has a control device. The control device includes a device for processing sequential secondary magnetic field signals such that the sequential secondary magnetic field signals are combined to a cumulative signal in the memory unit. The cumulative signal is used as an output signal of the evaluation circuit.

Abstract: A composition for use in the shell of a comestible capsule comprising Gelatin and a plasticiser such as Glycerol together with a further component which forms a secondary matrix for the plasticiser. The provision of this secondary matrix enables the relative amount of the gelatin to the plasticiser to be reduced which shortens disintegration time in the mouth. The further component is typically unbleached potato starch acetate.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device for inspecting the image and measuring the color of at least one printed product produced by a printing machine with at least one printing group. The purpose of the present invention is to teach a device permitting the quality and color of printed products to be assessed. To do this, the device consists of at least one imaging device providing the image data of the printed product and a computer device, in which the computer device detects all the image data of the printed products for image inspection and determines a measurement color assessment from the image data of at least one measuring point of the printed product.

Abstract: Method of optimizing a reproduction of a picture copy includes scanning a picture copy optoelectrically for generating scanning signals, in accordance with the scanning signals, electronically screening the picture copy and inscribing a recording medium so that one of a plurality of screen fields on the recording medium corresponds to one or more scanning signals of the picture copy, forming each of the screen fields, respectively, of a plurality of elementary cells, and determining relative locations of the elementary cells so that a region of overlap between an inscribed and an adjacent non-inscribed elementary cell, respectively, is minimal.

Abstract: The invention provides an ABS and/or ASC control system for motor vehicles, of the type having a sensor arrangement for detecting rotational wheel speeds, an analysis unit for the cornering recognition, and actuators for reducing the brake pressure on at least one wheel which is on the inside during the cornering in the case of a cornering recognition and an operated brake such that an ABS control is initiated on at the most one wheel. Cornering recognition is carried out by calculating an actual value proportional to the rear axle lateral acceleration from the difference of the rotational wheel speeds of the rear wheels and/or an actual value proportional to the front axle lateral acceleration from the difference of the rotational speeds of the front wheels.

Abstract: A test rig for testing motor-vehicle assemblies includes a loading device for inducing vertical forces, lateral forces, longitudinal forces and braking or driving forces in the motor-vehicle assembly. The test rig includes a control device for controlling the loading device in such a way as to ensure that the vertical forces, lateral forces, longitudinal forces and braking or driving forces are induced in the motor-vehicle assembly according to a predetermined control loading programme. The control loading programme causes different loading cases of the motor-vehicle assembly, which are realistic in terms of the physics of driving, to be simulated repeatedly in a temporally consecutive sequence. The control loading programme is a standardised basic programme adapted, with the aid of vehicle-and/or axle-specific conversion values and test-rig-specific conversion values, to the given motor-vehicle assembly to be tested in the given case.

Abstract: A device has a generator for generating low-frequency pulsed electric currents and a transmitter coil connected to the generator for applying electromagnetic fields to a body region of a living organism and is designed for transporting ions from intra-corporal electrolyte liquids of the living organism into and through surrounding vessel walls and membranes such that the transmitting energy is selected to such a high value that the energy induced within the electrolyte liquid is greater than a thermal energy and is within a cell-specific amplitude window.

Abstract: An inking unit for printing presses, preferably offset printing presses, can have a plurality of plate-inking rollers for inking a plate cylinder along with a multiplicity of inking rollers. The inking rollers can be positioned to supply ink flow, in at least two directions to the plate-inking rollers. The inking rollers and the plate-inking rollers can then form a closed chain of rollers, and can enclose a space therebetween. A measuring device can be provided to monitor the temperature of the air within this space, with measured values being used for control of the temperature of the inking unit.

Abstract: A display system for aircraft for showing the attitude, particularly the rolling and pitching position or the flight path angle, comprising a windshield projection device (HUD "HEAD-UP DISPLAY") with devices for generating and displaying an airplane symbol, a symbol which is stabilized fixed to earth for the displaying of the position of the true horizon as well as for generating and displaying symbols for the rolling and pitching angle or of the path angle in the exterior field of view of the pilot as a function of the values measured by the corresponding instruments. In this case, a display of the attitude is generated by means of a reference symbol representing the airplane and an information symbol which changes with respect to the reference symbol in its position and shape--and is dependent on the rolling angle (.phi.) and pitching angle (.theta.) or path angle (.gamma.).

Abstract: The plumbing fixture, which can be actuated without physical contact, has a water line that is connected to a source of water and has a water outlet. A shut-off valve is disposed in the water line downstream of a mixer valve. A control unit controls the shut-off valve as a function of control signals from a proximity-sensitive sensor. A turbine is disposed in the water line for supplying electrical energy to the control unit. Permanent magnets are distributed equidistantly about an outer periphery of a wheel of the turbine. At the level of the permanent magnets, at least two magnet coils are provided in a tubular section of the water line. The coils cooperate with the permanent magnets to form a generator.

Abstract: A process for the manufacture of brofaromine and analogues thereof by reaction of a trisubstitued phosphonium methyl dihydroquinone compound with a 1-(substituted carbonyl)-4-(substituted carbonyl)-piperidine with subsequent cyclization and hydrolysis of the remaining carbonyl substituent. The resulting prmary compound can be further interconverted between free and salt forms or between different salt forms as desired.

Abstract: A semiconductor array in a CMOS technology is described in which the gate electrodes are of p.sup.+ -doped polysilicon in the case of p-channel transistors and of n.sup.+ -doped polysilicon in the case of n-channel transistors. If the gate electrodes of two complementary transistors are connected at the gate level, a polysilicon diode is created at the connection point. In accordance with the invention, the polysilicon diode is short-circuited with a polysilicide layer. A method is described for short-circuiting this polysilicon diode without additional masking steps using a metal silicide layer. In a further embodiment of the invention, the silicide is restricted to the area of the polysilicon diode. In addition, a method is described using which the polysilicon diodes can be short-circuited in a self-adjusting polysilicide process.
