To protect the plug connectors against splashing water and dirt when the unit is mounted near the wheel, at least one cover provided, which together with the housing cap forms cable leadthroughs for cables that are connected electrically to the plug connectors.

    Abstract: A vacuum cleaner with a steam generator and a source of water under pressure has a suction hose connecting the suction head with the turbine and a dirt collector. Steam and pressurized water lines extend along the hose and the steam line runs to an orifice strip in a sole plate of the head while the spray nozzles are provided in a slot between a pair of brushes. The suction nozzle opens at a slot in the sole plate and sealing strips are provided along the longitudinal sides of the suction nozzle and the steam nozzle strip.

In order to protect voltage-sensitive component elements on the printed circuit board, the heat sink is first fastened to the printed circuit board without potential and then the insulation between the heat sink and power component is tested by applying high voltage between the heat sink and power component, and the heat sink is finally electrically connected with the circuit ground.

    Abstract: In known separators, some of the solids trapped in the trapping chutes may be prevented from being discharged at the wall due to by-pass currents at the lower end of the trapping chutes. To improve the discharge of the separated dust, the lower end of each trapping chute that is adjacent to the wall is provided with an outlet channel piece extending to the wall and having a slot-like outlet opening resting at the wall and opening downward; and sheet metal deflectors are arranged between the outlet channel pieces of each layer of trapping chutes at a distance from each other and from the wall, which form between them delimit slots for the passage of gas. The separator is preferably used to separate solids from the ascending flue gas in a fluidized bed furnace.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for burning carbonaceous materials in a fluidized bed reactor comprising a bottom region and a top region, and containing a fluidized bed, with the heat of combustion being dissipated at least via wall cooling surfaces, and comprising a recirculation system, including a labyrinth separator for recirculating the separated solids to the bottom region of the fluidized bed reactor. The solids are separated from the rising flow of flue gas by the labyrinth separator, which is disposed directly in the top region of the fluidized bed reactor, and are conveyed in the reactor itself along the wall cooling surfaces and are supplied to the bottom region of the reactor, either freely or in closed or partly or completely open recirculation passages. The main area of application is with a steam generator.

    Abstract: A method of continuous production of refined chocolate mass from a non-refined cocoa mass composed of a mixture of components reduced in size to a fineness required for the final mass but still containing undesired aromatic substances and moisture and being processed into a low fat, friable or pulverized chocolate mass, is mixed in a plasticator with a preheated air stream which is admitted in the same feeding direction, simultaneously externally heated for a time interval between 5 and 8 minutes while being intensively mixed by shearing stresses until the mass becomes plasticized; thereupon the fluidity of the mass is increased by an emulsifier, then the entrained gas is separated from the mass, the latter is weighed and supplemented according to a final recipe by additional fat content, and the final mass is collected in a container and subjected to an additional homogenizing treatment and in a cooled condition is forwarded for the final processing.

    Abstract: A method of and apparatus for providing coal dust to a reaction chamber, especially in the process of producing low-sulfur coke dust and gas by gas extraction and partial gasification of coal dust in a reaction chamber for partially combusting coal dust. Coal dust and a first stream of combustion gas are combined and passed through a central conduit to a reaction chamber. A second stream of combustion gas can be selectively subjected to swirling motion and can be combined with the stream emanating from the central conduit. The degree of swirl of the first stream and the second stream of combustion gas is used to control distribution of the gas-solids mixture in the reaction chamber and to control the path of the gas-solids mixture leading into the wall of the reaction chamber.
