  • Publication number: 20240063988
Abstract: A first wireless device outputs, to a second wireless device, a first indication of a set of TR locations associated with a communication channel, where the set of TR locations are selected based on an estimate of an associated communication channel. The first indication of the set of TR locations includes at least one of a subcarrier bitmap, a granularity for the subcarrier bitmap, a subcarrier RIV, or a CSI-RS for TR. The network entity outputs a communication for the second wireless device, the communication including a first set of data tones and a second set of reserved tones, in a same symbol, based on the first indication of the set of TR locations.

  • Publication number: 20240063948
Abstract: A network node may identify a single first packet size associated with a plurality of packets. The network node may transmit the plurality of packets to a UE based on a MIRS. Each packet in the plurality of packets may be associated with the single first packet size. The UE may decode the plurality of packets based on the MIRS. Each packet in the plurality of packets may include a first number of systematic bits and a second number of parity bits. The first number of systematic bits may be associated with a first cyclic buffer at the network node. The second number of parity bits may be associated with a second cyclic buffer at the network node.

  • Patent number: 11909474
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a technique for wireless communications by a user equipment (UE). The UE implements the technique to detect that a decoding failure of a first multiple input multiple output (MIMO) transmission, sent by a network entity on a first number of layers, is caused by a rank mismatch. The UE then sends a rank correction request to a network entity. The UE then combines samples from the first MIMO transmission and a second MIMO transmission, sent by the network entity using a space-time code (STC) with a second number of layers in response to the rank correction request, to recover data lost due to the decoding failure.

  • Publication number: 20240039775
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for non-linearity estimation techniques for digital post distortion (DPoD) in a wireless system. In some aspects, a first wireless device may estimate a power amplifier (PA) non-linearity associated with a second wireless device using select signaling from the second wireless device. For example, the first wireless device may use a received signal to estimate the PA non-linearity if a dynamic power range associated with the signal triggers the estimation of the PA non-linearity (such as if the dynamic power range associated with the signal satisfies, or is expected to satisfy, a threshold dynamic power range). If the dynamic power range of the signal triggers the estimation of the PA non-linearity, the first wireless device may introduce DPoD to signaling received from the second wireless device in accordance with the estimation of the PA non-linearity.

  • Patent number: 11888670
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Techniques provide for reliable signal processing and amplification of downlink signals. A network entity may apply a digital pre-distortion (DPD) process to a signal for transmission to a user equipment (UE) and may apply a crest factor reduction (CFR) process to the output of the DPD process. The output of the CFR process may be amplified by a power amplifier and transmitted via a downlink transmission to the UE. The CFR process limits the peak power of the signal provided to the power amplifier (e.g., to a configured level), thereby reducing the peak to average power ratio (PAPR) of the signal provided to the power amplifier. The DPD process may compensate for non-linearities of the power amplifier. A training procedure for the DPD process may account for the CFR process applied after the DPD process.

  • Publication number: 20240022350
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a first device may combine, for each of a set of sub-blocks of a block of data, a set of unencoded bits associated with a respective sub-block with a matrix to generate a set of encoded bits. The first device may transmit a first message including the block to a second device. The second device may determine respective probabilities of successful decoding of respective selected candidate codewords for the set of sub-blocks of the block based on receiving the first message and may transmit one or more indicators associated with one or more sub-blocks based on the respective probabilities of successful decoding of the respective selected candidate codewords.

  • Patent number: 11870622
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A non-coherent modulation configuration may be selected for a transmission of a set of data based on a radio frequency spectrum band used for the transmission. After selecting the non-coherent modulation configuration, the set of data may be modulated using a differential phase shift keying modulation technique. After selecting the non-coherent modulation configuration, a set of frequency-domain symbols may be generated from the set of modulated symbols using a discrete Fourier transform. The set of frequency-domain symbols may be mapped to a set of subcarriers, and a time-domain waveform may be generated from the mapped set of frequency-domain symbols, yielding a time-domain waveform. The time-domain waveform may be transmitted over the radio frequency band.

  • Publication number: 20240007142
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for performing wireless communication using digital post distortion, for example, with a large antenna array where the number of transmit antennas may be greater than a number of spatial streams. A transmitting device and a receiving device determine a perturbed precoding matrix based on a precoding perturbation rule. The transmitting device precodes a signal using the perturbed precoding matrix and transmits via the number of antennas greater than the number of spatial streams. The receiving device receives the signal and subtracts non-linearities from the received signal based on a channel estimation using the perturbed precoding matrix over one or more iterations.

  • Publication number: 20230422189
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment (UE) may receive a control signal allocating downlink resources and uplink resources, where the uplink resources puncture the downlink resources and are allocated for transmitting feedback control information. The UE may generate an uplink signal containing the feedback control information and one or more cancelation tones for canceling interference between a downlink signal and the uplink signal in accordance with a timing advance value. Additionally, or alternatively, the UE may generate an uplink signal including the feedback control information, where the uplink signal contains uplink symbols and cyclic extensions appended to the uplink symbols, and the cyclic extensions may be based on the timing advance value.

  • Patent number: 11856572
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In a wireless communications system, a user equipment (UE) may be configured to use intra-message antenna selection diversity (ASD). The UE may transmit a first portion of a scheduled message within a time interval using a first antenna element of the UE based on an intra-message antenna diversity configuration. The intra-message antenna diversity configuration may indicate a set of antennas available for transmission of the scheduled message. In some cases, the UE may transmit, within the same time interval, at least a portion of the scheduled message using at least a second antenna element of the UE that is different from the first antenna element. In some cases, a receiving UE may decode the first portion and the second portion of the scheduled message based on the intra-message antenna diversity configuration.
