  • Patent number: 11025413
Abstract: Authentication is performed on a plurality of links coupling one node of the computing environment and another node of the computing environment. The performing authentication includes obtaining by the one node a shared key from a key server coupled to the one node and another node of the computing environment. A message encrypted with the shared key is sent from the one node to the other node via one link of the plurality of links. An indication that the other node decrypted the message using the shared key obtained by the other node is received from the other node via the one link. The sending and the receiving are repeated on one or more other links of the plurality of links using the shared key previously obtained.

  • Patent number: 11013542
Abstract: A tissue fixation system is provided for dynamic and rigid fixation of tissue. A fastener connected with an elongate fastening member, such as a cable, wire, suture, rod, or tube, is moved through a passage between opposite sides of tissue. The fastener is provided with a groove that accommodates at least a portion of the fastening member to reduce the profile during the movement through the passage. The fastener is then pivoted to change its orientation. A second fastener can then be connected with the fastening member. While tension is maintained in the fastening member, the fasteners are secured against relative movement. This may be done by deforming the fastening member, either the first or second fasteners, or a bushing placed against the second fastener.

  • Patent number: 11017384
Abstract: A system for provisioning credentials onto an electronic device is provided. The system may include a payment network subsystem, a service provider subsystem, a primary user device, and a secondary user device. The user may select a particular payment card to provision onto the secondary user device by providing an input at the primary user device. A broker module running on the service provider subsystem may then transfer a disabled pass to the secondary user device. Concurrently, the payment network subsystem may direct a trusted service manager module on the service provider subsystem to write credential information onto a secure element within the secondary user device. Once the secure element has been updated, the broker module may provide an activated pass to the secondary user device so that the secondary user device can be used to perform NFC-based financial transactions at a merchant terminal.
