  • Publication number: 20110211340
Abstract: A portable light assembly (200) has a light head (26) adapted to be housed in a protective container (12) and to be withdrawn therefrom when required for use. The light head (26) is attached to a swivel bracket (28) and is connected to a battery (25) also housed in the container. The portable light assembly includes mounting means (18) for supporting the light head (26) at locations in need of illumination. A handle (14) is connected to a lid (20) of the assembly, and the handle has a release member (36) for releasing an extension post arrangement (30, 32) from the protective container. This allows the extension post arrangement (30, 32), Nd (20), swivel bracket (28) and light head (26) to be slid upwardly by activating the release member (36) and lifting the handle (14).

  • Publication number: 20100115832
Abstract: The present invention relates to a gelatinous moisturizing substrate for controllably delivering water, gas micro-nutrients, plant growth additives, preservatives, and surfactants to plant tissue such as the entire vertical root system of a plant. The preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a mixture of the following by percent weight: 97.6% water, 2.0% sodium carboxymethylcellulose, 0.15% aluminum sulfate, 0.04% sodium benzoate, 0.04% potassium sorbate, 0.237% zinc acetate, 0.00009% kinetin, 0.00004% indole-3-butyric acid, 0.00003% gibberellic acid, and 0.005% sodium sesquicarbonate. The concentrations of these nutrients disclosed in this invention maintain the substrate's viscosity. As a result, the moisturizing agent retains water, zinc, acetic acid, auxins, gibberellins, and cytokinins in the gel and releases the water and nutrients into the soil surface at a controlled rate, enabling cell growth, formation of new leaves, vigorous shoot growth, even maturity, and improved stress tolerance.

  • Publication number: 20100046146
Abstract: A power operator for switchgear for use in mains power distribution systems such as public medium high voltage distribution systems, where the switchgear comprises a closed cabinet (5) with an operating shaft protruding there from. The operating shaft is rotable at least between two positions and has a coupling part. The motor operator comprises a housing (11, 20, 21, 27), which is mountable on the external surface (4) of the switchgear cabinet (5), and a rotatable connection shaft connected to an electric motor via a transmission. It has a first coupling part to fit with the coupling part of the switchgear in a longitudinal axial sliding and non-rotational interlocking manner. The housing (11, 20, 21, 27) is a tube element which has the inherit quality that it does not invite to vandalism and unauthorized access. It is relatively easy to seal against dust and moisture. When cut from a length of a pipe it is easy to manufacture as well as inexpensive.

  • Patent number: 7489642
Abstract: The apparatus and method herein provide a means for actively monitoring a communications node for datapath disruptions caused within the node. It was developed to address linecard failures that were detected in the field and for which traditional error detection mechanisms such as CRC and OAM CC checks are not feasible. According to one implementation, statistics are collected over a preset time interval. If any egress cell counts are zero over a full interval, then the ingress interface for that datapath is determined, e.g. using the node's cross-datapath information, and the corresponding linecard of that ingress interface is contacted to determine the ingress cell count. If the ingress cell count is non-zero then the datapath is alarmed since the complete lack of cells transmitted at the egress indicates a datapath disruption.

  • Publication number: 20080319252
Abstract: A diversionary therapy apparatus (100) provides a tangible intuitive and immersive interaction device for a patient so as to distract the patient from a treatment. It includes a handheld tablet device (110) having motion sensors and a screen (112) for showing digital content relating to a three-dimensional environment. A controller determines movement of the tablet device (110) and displays content on the screen (112) based on this movement so that the patient can interact with the three-dimensional environment displayed on the screen through physical manipulation of the device (110). Various other interactive features are also disclosed, including interchangeable selector elements, e.g. figurines (114), that may be mounted on the device (110) to allow selection of content and action, a camera, biometric sensors, a touchscreen, a domed rear surface to allow the device to rock on a surface and a profiled screen wall (124).
