  • Patent number: 9252936
Abstract: In a method of operating a wireless terminal, the wireless terminal (30) sends a request to participate in a circuit switched call with a circuit switched network. Prior to establishment of the circuit switched call the wireless terminal (30) releases or performs an inter-radio access technology handover of an existing packet switched session with an original packet switched network. The wireless terminal (30) then reconnects to the packet switched session to obtain a reconnected packet switched session. Thereafter the wireless terminal (30) interleaves packet switched transmissions of the reconnected packet switched session with voice transmissions of the circuit switched call.

  • Patent number: 9246655
Abstract: A wireless terminal (30) communicates across a wireless interface with a Long Term Evolution (LTE) radio access technology network (22-1) and a circuit switched network (22-2). The wireless terminal (30) establishes a circuit switched call with the circuit switched network (22-2); maintains a packet switched session with the Long Term Evolution (LTE) radio access technology network (22-1) during establishment of the circuit switched call; and, multiplexes transmissions of the packet switched session with transmissions of the circuit switched call.

  • Patent number: 9236938
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and arrangements for improving the capabilities of an evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network, in particular for cases when more than one radio access network applying a time-division duplex transmission mode need to co-exist on a same carrier. The invention addresses further problems concerning an efficient allocation of uplink resources and resource allocation in a handover situation. The present invention assigns an attribute in form of a distinguishing value to the time slots used for the uplink and downlink transmission on said carrier such as to avoid scheduling of transmissions via a first radio access network in downlink or uplink time slots assigned to the second radio access network and to avoid scheduling of transmissions via the second radio access network in uplink time slots assigned for transmissions in the first radio access network.

  • Patent number: 9215582
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method in a user equipment (115) for enabling mobility management node (103) selection in a communication network (100, 200). The user equipment (115) comprises a globally unique identifier assigned by the mobility management node (103). The user equipment (115) obtains (701) information, using the globally unique identifier, about the mobility management node (103) with which the user equipment (115) has been registered. The user equipment (115) transmits (702), when an idle state signaling reduction function, referred to as ISR, is inactive, the information about the registered mobility management node (103) to a base station (105). The information enables the base station (105) to select the registered mobility management node (103).

  • Publication number: 20150173000
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method in a mobile station (20) for handling access to different wireless communications networks via a wireless access point (10), the wireless access point supporting different wireless communications networks having different radio access technologies (RATs). The method comprises a first step of receiving (S100), from the wireless access point using a first wireless communications network, a first indication of an available second wireless communications network. The method then comprises receiving (S110) a second indication and determining (S120) whether the received second indication includes information of an address to be used by the mobile station when requesting access to the second wireless communications network. When determined that so is the case the method comprises thus requesting (S130) access to the second wireless communications network. The disclosure also relates to a mobile station (20), to a wireless access point (10) and to a method therein.
