  • Publication number: 20090196774
Abstract: An electrical submersible pump assembly has a pump discharge head with an integrally formed pump discharge pressure port. The discharge head is mounted directly to the pump and couples the pump to production tubing. A static pressure port extends directly through the side wall of the discharge head. The pressure port includes a tubing connector for hydraulic tubing to run down to the guage. Inside the discharge head, a flow limiter is located in the pressure port to stop the loss of fluid if there is a break in the tubing connector or hydraulic line. Alternatively, the discharge head may incorporate a venturi or other pressure drop structure to allow the fluid flow to be measured via a pressure drop across an orifice. The venturi may be configured as an insert to permit it to be replaced after it has become worn by abrasive flow.

  • Patent number: 7403909
Abstract: An electronic price label (ESL) system for performing asynchronous ESL transactions. An event notification technique allows a communication base station (CBS) manager to directly notify an ESL manager when responses from an ESL are received, without the ESL manager needing to constantly poll the CBS manager. In one aspect, an inter-process communication layer (IPC) to allow for such event notification by the CBS manager. When initially beginning operation, the ESL manager subscribes to a CBS manager's event and provides the name of a function in the ESL manager to be called when this event occurs. When the ESL manager instructs the CBS manager to send a message to an ESL, the CBS manager provides the ESL manager with a handle or unique identification number to identify the message. When a response is received from the ESL, the CBS manager “fires an event” utilizing the IPC and indicates the identification number of the response.

  • Patent number: 7162854
Abstract: An implement, such as a header for a combine, having an integral transport system with a pair of ground engaging wheels that are moved between transport positions used in transporting the implement and stowed positions on the implement during use of the implement. The wheels may be used as gauge wheels during use to support the ends of the implement. A trailer tongue is retractable and stowed onboard the implement during use, as is a tongue jack. Lights are provided at the end of the implement for visibility during transport. The lights are stowed beneath a cover on the end of the implement to protect the lights from damage during use. All components of the transport system are carried on the implement during use to ensure that they are with the implement when needed to transport the implement. All components are mounted with pins, enabling the implement to be converted between transport and use configurations without the use of hand tools.

  • Publication number: 20060292754
Abstract: An antifuse element (102, 152, 252, 302, 352, 402, 602, 652, 702) and method of fabricating the antifuse element, including a substrate material (101) having an active area (106) formed in an upper surface, a gate electrode (104) having at least a portion positioned above the active area (106), and a gate oxide layer (110) disposed between the gate electrode (104) and the active area (106). The gate oxide layer (110) including the fabrication of one of a gate oxide dip (128) or a gate oxide undercut (614). During operation a voltage applied between the gate electrode (104) and the active area (106) creates a current path through the gate oxide layer (110) and a rupture of the gate oxide layer (110) in a rupture region (130). The rupture region (130) defined by the oxide structure and the gate oxide dip (128) or the gate oxide undercut (614).

  • Publication number: 20060226509
Abstract: An antifuse element (102) having end corners (120, 122) of a gate electrode (104) positioned directly above an active area (106) or bottom electrode. The minimum programming voltage between the gate electrode (104) and the active area (106) creates a current path through an insulating layer (110) positioned therebetween. The high electric field created at the end corners (120, 122) of the gate electrode (104) results in a breakdown and rupture of the insulating layer (110) at points directly beneath the end corners (120, 122). This localization of the insulating layer (110) at the corners (120,122) provides for lower post program resistance and variation, and faster programming at a lower programming power. The antifuse elements (102) when integrated into an array (300, 320, 400, 550) provide for increased packing density. The array is fabricated to include multiple active areas (304) for individual antifuse element (302) programming or a common active area (324,405,426,506) for multi-element programming.

  • Publication number: 20050071693
Abstract: Supply voltages within a data processing system may be controlled by a voltage control module which can provide digital signals to a power management unit to cause changes in supply voltages without software intervention. For example, in one embodiment, a voltage control signal and a standby signal may be provided to control the supply voltages output by a voltage regulator within the power management unit. In one embodiment having multiple processors, a voltage control signal and a standby signal corresponding to each processor may be provided to the power management unit which has a voltage regulator supplying an independently controlled supply voltage to each processor. Alternatively, a voltage regulator, a voltage control signal, and a standby signal may be shared by multiple processors, where the voltage control module may ensure that the supply voltage is changed only when the change is appropriate for all processors sharing the same voltage regulator.

  • Patent number: 6735194
Abstract: A packet switched communication system providing DPNSS standard voice and signaling data over IP, comprising connection services software for mapping IP addresses and port numbers to thirty IP trunks, wherein each of the IP addresses is used by a network layer of the DPNSS standard to route packets to a predetermined terminating node and each of the port numbers is used by a link layer of the DPNSS standard to deliver signaling data to a predetermined port within the terminating node. A far end message interface thread is provided for placing the signaling data and a Link Access Protocol (LAP) number into a data portion of each IP packet to permit reassociation of the signaling data at the terminating node to an associated one of the IP trunks.
