  • Publication number: 20180281949
Abstract: A rotor assembly for a multirotor aircraft, and a multirotor aircraft, are disclosed herein. The rotor assembly has a first motor having a first axis of rotation and a first propeller connected to the first motor. The rotor assembly has a second motor having a second axis of rotation, and a second propeller connected to the second motor. The second propeller is smaller in length than the first propeller. The first motor and the first propeller produce a greater proportion of a total lift thrust of the rotor assembly than the second motor and the second propeller. The multirotor aircraft includes an airframe and a plurality of the rotor assemblies mounted to the airframe.

  • Patent number: 9805402
Abstract: Techniques for determining a decision to acquire units of an item to be inventoried may be provided. For example, a demand for an item may be simulated to determine a consumption of a capacity for inventorying the item. A discrepancy between the consumption of the capacity and the capacity may be determined. An opportunity cost associated with the capacity may be updated based at least in part on determining that the discrepancy fails a convergence criterion. The opportunity cost may indicate a value associated with using the capacity. The consumption of the capacity may be simulated based at least in part on the updated opportunity cost. A resulting discrepancy may be determined. If the resulting discrepancy meets the convergence criterion, the decision to acquire the units of the item may be generated based at least in part on the updated opportunity cost.

  • Publication number: 20070207209
Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition including an effective amount of at least one of an antimicrobial peptide and a substance having an antimicrobial peptide effect and an effective amount of a neurotrophin. The composition can also include an effective amount of at least one of a growth factor and a neuropeptide. The present invention also relates a method of treating an injury to a nervous system of an animal that includes the steps of identifying the injury to the nervous system and applying to the injury an effective amount of at least one of antimicrobial peptide and a substance having an antimicrobial peptide effect. The method can also include applying an effective amount of one or more trophic factors selected from the group consisting of a growth factor, a neurotrophin, and a neuropeptide to the injury.

  • Publication number: 20050234000
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods of affecting expression of a target gene, suitably brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) or related genes in a nerve cell in the central nervous system of a mammal. The method includes formulating and delivering an siRNA composition to a target site on the mammal to affect expression of the target gene in the nerve cell, wherein the target site is cerebrospinal space or muscle tissue innervated by a nerve cell, to down-regulate the target gene. Also disclosed are kits for use in practicing the novel methods of in vivo siRNA.delivery into target cells and gene regulation.

  • Patent number: 6045838
Abstract: An improved grape storage and handling bag is disclosed. The bag has increased size and reduced venting. The bag of the invention has holes on one or both side walls of the bag to provide a percentage perforation ranging from 0.4 to 1.4%. The bag reduces water loss while still permitting SO.sub.2 ventilation. Grapes stored in the bags of this invention show reduced levels of water loss, stem browning, berry shatter, and decay. The grapes may be stacked in one or two layers. The bagged grapes are contained within a container and stacked in one or two layers within the containers.
