  • Patent number: 6939016
Abstract: A mirror mounting assembly including a mirror support, a base portion, a pivoting joint between the support and the base portion allowing the support to pivot with respect to the base portion, a link extending between the support and the base portion, a first end of the link being held with respect to either the support or the base portion, an aperture provided in the support or the base portion into which the second end of the link locates, a tight sliding fit between the aperture and the link, the link moving through the aperture allowing the support to be adjusted with respect to the base portion, the fit being such that unwanted movement between the support and base portion is prevented during normal use.

  • Patent number: 6772292
Abstract: The present invention provides a unique stack memory system to store the execution environment, including registers in one area and local variables and parameters of functions in a different area so that every function creates its own portion in the stack. These portions include two pointers, one for referencing the portion of the previous function and the other for referencing either the portion of the next function or the free space of the stack. This structure permits the run-time creation of variables, while also enabling the deletion of both run-time and compile-time created variables without storage fragmentation.

  • Publication number: 20040078236
Abstract: The storage and retrieval of healthcare information is provided by use of a database that facilitates a number of different tasks that require manipulation of patient data. Comprehensive patient data representing a group of patients may be retrieved based on patient descriptive categories including diagnosis, e.g. anatomy, pathology or clinical presentation as well as treatment and outcome factors of each case. Symbolic codes assist in storage and retrieval of some of the data. In storage, various of the patient data related to particular patient issues and events may be linked for easy retrieval of relevant data. The catagories include data options that may be organized in the form of a hierarchical tree that has branching levels of data options with increasing specificity. Data from the various levels may be compared, as well as data between individual categories. In some embodiments, selected multimedia data may also be accessed based on criteria from data options of the patient descriptive categories.
