Abstract: Disclosed are highly resilient and cohesive gels formed by the cross-linking of hyaluronan or hylan, their salts or derivatives thereof, using divinyl sulfone (DVS) as the cross-linking agent. Also disclosed are viscoelastic fluids containing alkylsulfone groups covalently attached to the backbone of the polymer, formed by the mono-functionalization of the cross-linking monomer DVS with hyaluronan and/or hylan. Mechanical properties such as values of hardness and cohesiveness are specified by the rheological properties of the gels. Also disclosed are methods for the preparation of such products. They have use in many applications as injectable and/or implantable devices and as drug delivery systems.

Abstract: A polystyrene foam article and methods for producing the polystyrene foam article having a coating for reducing abrasiveness are disclosed. The reduced abrasiveness prevents scratching of surfaces in direct contact with the polystyrene foam article. The coating is applied to either a second surface area of an expanded polystyrene bead or an outer surface area of the polystyrene foam article. The coating may be any polymeric wax that reduces the abrasiveness of the polystyrene foam article.

The present invention comprises a cursor move device for moving the cursor and a command input device for inputting commands to the computer host. Among these, the computer host further includes a mother board, a CPU, a memory and at least one connecting port. Abstract: A system and method for non-intrusively embedding a multimedia advertisement associated with an object in an audiovisual program provided by one of various sources. The advertisement may be accessed and extracted from the program by pointing and clicking on the object while the object is displayed. A summary of advertisements may thereby be created. The accessed advertisements may be bookmarked or stored to create the summary. A user may create a profile of preferred types(s) of advertisements to filter out the display of advertisements for undesired types of advertisements.

Abstract: A portable computer host without any user interface is disclosed. The disclosed portable computer host includes the elements below. First, a mother board is provided, a CPU is placed on the upper surface of the mother board and electrically coupled to the mother board via cables. A main memory is placed on the lower surface of the mother board and electrically coupled to the CPU via cables. Via a socket, the CPU is coupled to the mother board. Additionally, a heat sink is attached to the CPU to dissipate the heat generated by the CPU. At least one port is placed along the periphery of the mother board. Via the connecting ports, user interfaces can be connected to the portable computer. The disclosed portable computer host also includes a housing, consisting of s lower case and an upper case. Among these, the lower case holds the mother board and encapsulates the lower surface. Besides, the upper case covers the upper surface of the mother board.
