  • Publication number: 20180024108
Abstract: The invention generally relates to systems methods for screening a sample based on multiple reaction monitoring mass spectrometry. In certain embodiments, the invention provides methods for screening a sample that involve ionizing a sample. Mass spectrometry is then used in order to monitor specific transitions connecting one or more ion pairs within the sample in order to generate a multidimensional chemical profile of the sample. Then, the multidimensional chemical profile of the sample is compared to a database of reference multidimensional chemical profiles, thereby screening the sample. Each reference multidimensional chemical profile is produced from a training set of data.
