Abstract: Methods and systems for compensating for source and receiver ghost effects in a reverse time migration (RTM) equation are described. Boundary conditions associated with the RTM acoustic wave equations for the source and recorded wavefields are modified. The resultant modified RTM acoustic wave equations are solved to generate ghost compensated modeled seismic images. In another aspect an imaging condition is also modified and the resultant RTM acoustic wave equations are solved to generate velocity and impedance perturbation images.

Abstract: Embodiments relate to fluid flow improvers containing a copolymer with a siloxane group incorporated thereto. The fluid flow improvers may include polymer/copolymer having the characteristic of inhibiting wax/paraffin crystalline growth, modifying wax/paraffin crystal growth, dispersing of wax/paraffin, preventing the deposition of wax/paraffin, aiding the removal of wax/paraffin or depressing of the pour point of a wax/paraffin-containing fluid. The fluid flow improvers described may be employed alone, or may be used in combination with one or more additives for improving the low temperature flowability and/or other properties and may also be employed in combination with one or more organic solvents and/or aqueous solvents.

Abstract: The subject invention comprises a collapsible display fixture that includes a base, two vertical support posts that can accept vertical display panels, a horizontal crossbar and hinge that connects each vertical support post to the base. The hinge may be one of two forms, either a hinge with an axis of rotation at an angle of 2-6 degrees, or preferably 3 degrees, or a hinge with a rotatable base that allows the hinge to be rotated 2-6 degrees, or preferably 3 degrees. These hinges allow the vertical support posts to be folded down without intersecting or contacting one another. The vertical display panels integrate an internal pin system, whether the panel is solid or a combination of two laminated layers, such that the pins are accessible from the outside to accept hangers, pins, pegs, hooks or other display accessories.

Abstract: An Earth model of a subsurface is created from acquired seismic data by migrating at least one of the incident wavefields and reflected wavefields to generate angle gathers for the seismic data and identifying for the subsurface an elastic Earth model equation for the incident wavefields and the reflected wavefields in the acquired seismic data. The elastic Earth model is a function of reflection angle between the incident wavefields and reflected wavefields and elastic parameters and is fit to the generated angle gathers through perturbation in the elastic parameters. The generated perturbations are used to create the Earth model of the subsurface.

Abstract: The subject invention comprises a modular, pop-up shelf display system that includes vertical slotted shelf support posts, horizontal tie bars, and shelf or accessory members. Two slotted support posts are connected at the top and bottom ends by a pair of tie bars; the top of each slotted support post leans against a wall. Shelves or accessories, which include brackets that engage the slots in the vertical support posts are then attached to the support posts to form horizontal shelves or accessories between the support posts at desired heights and orientation. The system includes internal connectors positioned inside the post ends and the ends of the tie bars which secure the tie bars to the posts to secure the posts in an upright manner against the wall.

Abstract: Methods and systems for ghost compensation of seismic data in conjunction with Kirchhoff migration are described. Input traces are deghosted by applying a deghost operator thereto across a range of ray parameters, which ray parameters are associated with the Kirchhoff migration. The deghosted traces are buffered and then selected for use in the mapping stage of Kirchhoff migration.

Abstract: A method for browsing a collection of digital images on a soft-copy display comprising: receiving a collection of digital images; interactively user selecting a digital image using a user interface; determining a plurality of subsets of the digital images, wherein each subset shares a common category with the selected digital image; and displaying the subsets of digital images on the soft-copy display, together with the selected digital image.

Abstract: Devices and methods are presented for elevating seat devices. The device allows a vertical and forward motion of a seat from a first position to a second position. Such motion more resembles a natural body motion during the standing motion. A similar but converse motion is also possible with movement from a standing position to a sitting position.

Abstract: A third party that performs data stream computation is requested to return not only the solution to the computation, but also “annotations” to the original data stream. The annotations are then used by the data owner (in actuality, a “verifier” associated with the data owner) to check the results of the third party's computations. As implemented, the verifier combines the annotations with the original data, performs some computations, and is then assured of the correctness of the provided solution. The cost of verification is significantly lower to the data owner than the cost of fully processing the data “in house”.

Abstract: Methods and systems for ghost compensation which are embedded in beam migration are described. The ghost compensation is based on the fact that the beam migration is performed in the slant-stack domain. The trace data is transformed to a mid-point slant-stack frequency domain where a deghosting operator is applied and then the deghosted trace data is inverse transformed to a time domain. The time domain trace data can then be further processed as desired.
