Patent number: 9741459Abstract: A modularized system for processing, storing and/or disposing of a hazardous waste material is described. In one exemplary embodiment, the modularized system includes a container configured to sealingly contain hazardous waste material; a first cell, the first cell comprising a first area for manipulating the container; and a second cell, the second cell comprising a second area for manipulating the container. The second cell is isolated from the first cell. The first cell is held at a first pressure and the second cell held at a second pressure, the first pressure being less than the second pressure. An interlock couples the first cell to the second cell. The first cell, second cell and interlock are configured to allow the container to be transferred from the first cell to the second cell while maintaining at least one seal between the first cell and the second cell.Type: GrantFiled: June 2, 2011Date of Patent: August 22, 2017Assignee: Australian Nuclear Science and Technology OrganisationInventors: Salvatore Moricca, Walter Guillermo Bermudez, Allan Grant Murray

Publication number: 20070082795Abstract: A free weight support device for use with an exercise bench that is pivotally positionable between a first and second position, and having a base, first and second vertical members pivotally coupled to the base and positioned on opposite sides of the bench, and a foot member coupled to the first and second vertical members and operable by one or more feet of the weightlifter. The foot member being proximate to a front end of the bench and pivotally coupled to the base for pivotally adjusting the position of the first and second vertical members between a first position and a second position. When adjusted into the first position, the first and second vertical members are positioned generally vertically to support the weight of the free weights away from the weightlifter's arms. When adjusted into the second position, the first and second vertical members are pivotally positioned to permit the weightlifter to retrieve the free weights.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 11, 2005Publication date: April 12, 2007Inventors: Grant Murray, Hubert Van Niekerk

Patent number: 4408623Abstract: A battery powered manicuring device is taught which uses an improved drive mechanism for reciprocating a manicuring implement. A battery energizes a motor. Extending from one end of the motor is a shaft. Interconnected with the shaft is an offset device comprising either a bearing or a sleeve positioned at a non-perpendicular angle with respect to the shaft. The lower end of an attachment arm is affixed to the outer portion of either the offset bearing or the offset sleeve. The upper end of the attachment arm is affixed to the lower end of a manicuring implement. As the shaft rotates, a reciprocating motion is imparted to the attachment arm and thus to the manicuring implement.Type: GrantFiled: June 26, 1981Date of Patent: October 11, 1983Inventor: Grant Murray
