  • Publication number: 20190019303
Abstract: Embodiments generally relate to a machine-implemented method of automatically adjusting the range of a depth data recording executed by at least one processing device. The method comprises determining, by the at least one processing device, at least one position of a subject to be recorded; determining, by the at least one processing device, at least one spatial range based on the position of the subject; receiving depth information; and constructing, by the at least one processing device, a depth data recording based on the received depth information limited by the at least one spatial range.

  • Publication number: 20180213255
Abstract: Some embodiments relate to a machine-implemented method of packing volumetric image data executed by at least one processing device, the method comprising: determining a first block size; writing to memory a first block of image data from a first image, the first block having the first block size; determining a second block size; and writing to memory a second block of image data from a second image, the second block having the second block size; wherein the first image contains X by Y pixels of one of colour data and depth data, and the second image contains X by Y pixels of the other of colour and depth data; and wherein the first image is related to the second image. Embodiments also relate to methods of unpacking volumetric image data. Further embodiments relate to systems and computer-readable media storing or having access to code to execute the packing and unpacking methods.

  • Patent number: 9641263
Abstract: An improved, adaptive and uniformly applicable estimation of the percentage or fraction of a broadband communication system (BCS) plant that is monitored for signal egress during a given period of time is provided by generating and collecting polygons along all possible routes traversed by BCS service vehicles within a service area, preferably by comparison with a roadway map, to define the service area with improved accuracy. The number of polygons generated and collected is then limited by the number of polygons in which DCS service vehicles have been reported in a given period of time or inspection interval. The limited number of polygons is then divided by the number of polygons generated and collected to determine a fraction or percentage of the BCS system which has been monitored during the given time period and can be used in a computation of a cumulative leakage index (CLI) value.

  • Publication number: 20160347247
Abstract: A vehicle mountable safety light system includes a vehicle with a hitch receiver. A hitch bar is removably extended into the hitch receiver and a post extends upwardly from the hitch bar. A tube with open first and second ends is mounted on the post. A housing is mounted within the tube and is positionable in a stored position within the tube, a left deployed position extending outwardly of the first end of the tube or in a right deployed position extending outwardly of the second end of the tube. The housing has a rearward surface facing away from the vehicle. A plurality of light emitters is mounted in the housing and emits light outwardly of the rearward surface when the light emitters are turned on. The light emitters are spaced along a length of the housing and are turned on when the housing is moved outwardly of the tube.

  • Patent number: 9321167
Abstract: A pallet-based support system for use in assembling a vehicle engine that includes an engine block is described herein. The pallet-based support system includes a first jig and a second jig configured to couple to the engine block. The system also includes a first support arm and a second support arm extending from the pallet and each of the support arms includes a cradle structure. The system also includes a first adapter structure coupled to the first jig. The first adapter structure is configured to be releasably coupled to one of the cradle structures by lowering the engine block towards the pallet. The first adapter structure engages the cradle structure and is configured to be positioned in at least three orientations with respect to the cradle structure.
