  • Publication number: 20050206111
Abstract: An improved vehicle suspension system providing for readily adjustable rearward weight transfer upon acceleration by permitting controlled upward motion of the mid-wheelbase portion of the vehicle and corresponding dynamic change in center of gravity height. The movement of the central portions of the vehicle in an upward direction is controlled and adjusted through a plurality of pivot points and links, together with variable resistance spring and damper means, to provide for optimum dynamic weight transfer onto driven wheels and superior acceleration characteristics under a variety of road surface, vehicle, and environmental conditions.

  • Publication number: 20050194446
Abstract: A portable end device, such- as a bar code scanner, may be equipped with auxiliary interfaces. The auxiliary interfaces may be easily added to the end device as a replaceable cover, such as a replaceable battery door. A signal path conducts signals to and from the replaceable cover. One auxiliary interface is a Bluetooth radio. Data integrity protocols may be selected to guarantee delivery and guarantee no duplicate deliveries. Host pairing algorithms may provide standard or strong pairing with a host computer. Ergonomic interface features allow a user to control and monitor the operation of the end device and the data link with minimal hardware cost and battery life impact. Host software programs provide data routing, automatic reestablishment of the data link, and other functions. The system is adaptable to a wide array of use environments through the selection of timer parameters in the end device.

  • Patent number: 5819250
Abstract: A method and system for interacting with a database via multiple types of media where the database includes data lacking a format for use with each of the media. The method includes selecting data to be accessed, selecting one of the media for providing access to the data selected, automatically formatting the data selected for use with the media selected, and transmitting the formatted data for output via the media selected. The system includes a processor, memory, software and media required for performing the method.
