  • Publication number: 20210256429
Abstract: There is a need for more effective and efficient predictive data analysis. This need can be addressed by, for example, solutions for performing/executing demographic-aware federated machine learning. In one example, a method includes receiving local machine learning model data objects from model data object provider agents; for each inference-profile pair that is associated with a corresponding inference identifier and a corresponding model profile, generating a global machine learning model data object based at least in part on a related local model subset of the local machine learning model data objects for the inference-profile pair; and providing, based at least in part on each global machine learning model data object, a demographic-aware predictive data analysis application programming interface (API), wherein the demographic-aware predictive data analysis API is accessible by the model data object provider agents.

  • Patent number: 11095997
Abstract: A communications management system (CMS) and related method receive registration information related to a plurality of participant systems (PSs) that communicate audio information between themselves. The CMS transmits a unique signal to each of the plurality of PSs that causes each of the plurality of PSs to produce a unique audio signal and detects an undesirable sound (US) in a PS of the plurality of PSs responsive to the transmission of the unique signal. Then, responsive to the detection of the US, the CMS applies a remedial action to the PS to initiate a reduction in a likelihood that the PS will produce a future US. Finally, the CMS repeats the operations of transmitting, detecting, and applying according to a predefined testing criteria.

  • Patent number: 11095653
Abstract: A trusted device responsible for evaluating trustworthiness of unknown devices is provided. Trust evaluation rules usable to determine whether to authorize unknown devices to access a resource are received. A request to access the resource and device evaluation attributes are received from an unknown device. The trustworthiness of the unknown device is evaluated based upon the device evaluation attributes using the trust evaluation rules. In response to determining that the unknown device is trustworthy, a credential for accessing the resource is provided to the unknown device, and the device evaluation attributes of the unknown device and an identification of the unknown device are sent to a registrar for the resource.

  • Patent number: 11092452
Abstract: A computer implemented navigation method that provides a safest route by considering manual driver risk. The method may include providing at least two sets of directions from a user start location to a final user location based on a user navigation system and user permission for data access; and ranking said at least two sets of directions by a baseline safety value. The method may also include determining in real time travelers that are present on passageways for the at least two sets of directions; and ranking the travelers according to travel risk behavior. Finally, the method may assign an aggregate risk score to each passageway for the at least two sets of directions for each passageway specific grouping of the travels having the ranked travel risk behavior to provide a safety ranked set of the at least two sets directions to the final user location.

  • Patent number: 11087010
Abstract: In an approach to adjusting user permissions based on mental acuity, one or more computer processors determine whether an individual is within a threshold proximity to a monitored location. In response to determining that an individual is within a threshold proximity to the monitored location, the one or more computer processors identify a required mental acuity for the monitored location. The one or more computer processors determine a current mental acuity for the individual. The one or more computer processors compare the determined mental acuity for the individual with the required mental acuity for the monitored location.

  • Patent number: 11042574
Abstract: A search term used in an online search is analyzed to determine a concept corresponding to the search term, the concept being present in an ontology related to a subject-matter domain of the search term. A set of concepts is selected from the ontology, including a related concept related to the concept in the organization of the ontology. A set of subscriber data sources is determined where a subscriber data source in the set subscribes to a concept in the set of concepts. From the set of subscriber data sources, a subset of those subscriber data sources is identified whose data is not participating in a result set corresponding to the search term. A non-participation message is sent to a subscriber data source in the subset of subscriber data sources.

  • Patent number: 11034092
Abstract: An augmented-reality system interacts with a physical object that has been embossed or otherwise labeled with one or more bar-code identifiers. The system extracts data from each identifier and uses each element of extracted data to select a computer-generated texture or object. When displaying the augmented-reality environment to a user, the system either replaces the physical object with the computer-generated object or applies the computer-generated texture to a region of a rendered surface of the computer-generated object. The application's selection of computer-generated objects or textures may be modified at any time by a user command, a context-sensitive or environmental factor, an occurrence of a certain virtual event within the augmented-reality environment, or a configuration setting.
