  • Publication number: 20230238266
Abstract: An apparatus includes a substrate holder, a first actuator to rotate the substrate holder, a second actuator to move the substrate holder linearly, a first sensor to generate one or more first measurements or images of the substrate, a second sensor to generate one or more second measurements of target positions on the substrate, and a processing device. The processing device estimates a position of the substrate on the substrate holder and causes the first actuator to rotate the substrate holder about a first axis. The rotation causes an offset between a field of view of the second sensor and a target position on the substrate due to the substrate not being centered on the substrate holder. The processing device causes the second actuator to move the substrate holder linearly along a second axis to correct the offset. The processing device determines a profile across a surface of the substrate based on the one or more second measurements of the target positions.

  • Patent number: 11709931
Abstract: Enforcing shadow stack violations at module granularity, rather than at thread or process granularity. An exception is processed during execution of a thread based on code of an application binary, which is enabled for shadow stack enforcement, that calls an external module. The exception results from a mismatch between a return address popped from the thread's call stack and a return address popped from the thread's shadow stack. Processing the exception includes determining that the exception resulted from execution of an instruction in the external module, and determining whether or not the external module is enabled for shadow stack enforcement. Based at least on these determinations, execution of the thread is terminated when the external module is enabled for shadow stack enforcement, or the thread is permitted to continue executing when the external module is not enabled for shadow stack enforcement.

  • Publication number: 20230224447
Abstract: Occluded image fragments are sorted in size. The largest image fragment is used to size a quadtree node in a layout mask for a disocclusion atlas used to store the image fragments. The sorted image fragments are stored into the disocclusion atlas using the layout mask such as each image fragment is hosted with a best fit quadtree node in the disocclusion atlas. A video signal may be generated by encoding one or more reference images and the disocclusion atlas storing the image fragments. The image fragments can be used by a recipient device to fill disoccluded image data in disoccluded spatial regions in a display image synthesized from the reference images.

  • Patent number: 11698247
Abstract: The embodiments described herein are directed to systems and devices for electronically measuring the absolute position of one or more moving targets e.g., along the length of a metal beam using mutual capacitive sensing. The beam may be made of metal and may have a limited inset area to fit a position detection sensor device along its length. The moving targets may have no active elements and the position of multiple targets may be detected simultaneously along the beam. The systems and devices described herein do not utilize electronic position feedback and instead rely on an integrated ruler and minimize the total number of sensors required to support recalibration, thereby minimizing scan time (more sensors results in a linear increase in scan time).

  • Patent number: 11673267
Abstract: A system includes a robot with a robot arm having multiple joints and an end effector to carry a substrate. A processing device is to build, with respect to a joint space for the multiple joints and the end effector, a graph of reachable positions and sub-paths between the reachable positions, wherein the reachable positions and the sub-paths satisfy Cartesian limits within the joint space. The processing device is to determine, by executing a graph optimization algorithm on the graph, multiple paths, each made up of a group of the sub-paths and having one of a shortest distance or a lowest cost between a start point and an end point of the end effector. The processing device is to select a path, of the multiple paths, through the graph that minimizes a move time of the end effector between the start point and the end point.
