  • Patent number: 8430154
Abstract: A heat transfer tube includes a container, a cavity within the container, and a heat transfer medium located within the cavity. The heat transfer medium consists essentially of a solid-gas suspension of a gas and a substantially homogeneous nanoparticle powder located within the cavity. The cavity is in a partial vacuum state. The nanoparticle powder comprises Ca(OH)2, LiH, ZrH2, or Mg(OH)2 in a solid state and is capable of substantially freely emitted and reabsorbing the gas as a function of temperature.

  • Patent number: 8027636
Abstract: Wireless repeaters comprising antennae having high electrical isolation are presented. Multi-band antennae are placed on opposing sides of a conductive ground plane to achieve high electrical isolation, preferably higher than 30 dB. The antennae are preferably placed at a distanced from the ground plane that is less than 0.5 wavelengths of a frequency associated with frequency bands to which the antennae are responsive. The presented antennae system reduces the minimum amount of isolation required for stable operation.

  • Publication number: 20100282777
Abstract: An apparatus for rapidly cooling beer flowing from a keg to a tap to be dispensed includes an insulated ice chest containing an open topped swirl pot in which is nested a cooling coil having an inlet connected to a keg and an outlet connected to a tap on a hollow upright structure fixed to the outside of an ice chest lid. A pump is connected to a stand pipe within the coil directing a flow of ice water under pressure to generally tangentially directed nozzles within the coil creating a swirl flow of ice water over the coil turns and overflowing back into the ice chest interior space holding ice to create a circulation therein maximizing the rate of cooling of the dispensed beer to minimize foaming when dispensed from the tap. A CO2 tank is also held in the ice chest interior space, connected to the keg via fluid lines and simplified hook ups to the keg are located on the lid mounted hollow structure.

  • Patent number: 7810049
Abstract: A system and method is provided for accessing information content that enables handheld or mobile device users, for example, to quickly and efficiently navigate images contained within the information content to access other areas of the information content. A user of the handheld device will request and receive information content, such as requesting a web page, for viewing. The user can select a navigation mode to receive a display only of interesting images pertaining to the webpage. The user can then thumb through the images and select an image of interest. The device will then display the portion of the web page associated with the selected image. Thus, the user can select an image to switch the view on the device back to a conventional browser viewing mode, for example.
