  • Publication number: 20130263181
Abstract: Described are computer-based methods and apparatuses, including computer program products, for defining video advertising channels. A set of requirements is received for an advertising channel. A training set of video content is identified based on the set of requirements. A set of baseline categorizations is received that includes, for each video in the training set of video content, a categorization for each requirement from the set of requirements. A set of experiments is calculated based on the training set of video content and the set of baseline categorizations to determine video content for the advertising channel.

  • Publication number: 20130247083
Abstract: Systems and methods for automatically matching in real-time an advertisement with a video desired to be viewed by a user are provided. A database is created that stores one or more attributes (e.g., visual metadata relating to objects, faces, scene classifications, pornography detection, scene segmentation, production quality, fingerprinting) associated with a plurality of videos. Supervised machine learning can be used to create signatures that uniquely identify particular attributes of interest, which can then be used to generate the attributes associated with the plurality of videos. When a user requests to view an on-line video having associated with it an advertisement, an advertisement can be selected for display with the video based on matching an advertiser's requirements or campaign parameters with the stored attributes associated with the requested video, with the user's information, or a combination thereof.

  • Patent number: 8410092
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a pharmaceutical composition that includes a combination of about 2-5 milligrams of a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug and from about 2-30 milligrams of an opioid analgesic in a single pharmaceutical dosage unit that can provide effective chronic pain management with the added benefit of reduced side effects such as withdrawal and gastrointestinal disorders. The non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug may be piroxicam and the opioid analgesic may be buprenorphine. The present invention also provides for a method of managing pain in a patient that includes administering the pharmaceutical composition previously described. The pharmaceutical composition previously described may be administered in a single or multiple dosage regimen.

  • Publication number: 20070198466
Abstract: The present invention is a business method for the inventor company which operates through an internet web site a By Owner multiple listing service that pools the multiple listing service data from a multiplicity of By Owner real estate listing companies, both local and national in nature. The company's web site has software with an architecture that contemplates sellers listing their properties with a variety of By Owner LCs who elect to become part of the By Owner multiple listing service database by submitting data on their seller's/customer's listings to the web site searchable database. The database may be accessed by users through the company's web site.

  • Publication number: 20070121260
Abstract: An electrical appliance includes a power cord having a GFCI device and an associated remote test/reset unit. The power cord includes a first end portion provided with a plug adapted to be inserted into an electrical outlet. The first end portion extends to a second end portion that is electrically coupled to a plurality of electrical components in the appliance. The test/reset unit is spaced from the GFCI device along the power cord. Preferably, the test/rest unit is connected to the power cord through an extension lead. With this arrangement the test/reset unit is actually remote from the GFCI device, allowing easy access to service personnel.

  • Publication number: 20050205597
Abstract: A vending machine includes a storage/display region, a dispensing chamber including a product access opening, and an anti-pilfer device that prevents unauthorized removal of products from the storage/display region through the product access opening. A delivery door is provided which can be shifted from a closed position to an open position to enable the removal of products from the dispensing chamber. The anti-pilfer device includes a plate coupled to a lower portion of the delivery door. When the delivery door is moved from the closed position, the anti-pilfer plate shifts, over a guide element, into a position that prevents products from being withdrawn from the storage/display area. Preferably, the storage/display region and dispensing chamber are separated by a product door, with the anti-pilfer plate preventing the product door from opening when the delivery door is shifted from the closed position.

  • Publication number: 20030140510
Abstract: An improved vehicle compass calibration obtains magnetic field data measurements from magnetic field sensors mounted in a vehicle. The magnetic field data measurements are stored in memory and, when a sufficient set of data measurements is stored, a calibration calculation attempt is carried out. When a predetermined vehicle accessory that produces a magnetic disturbance is activated, the storage of magnetic field data in memory is interrupted to disable the ongoing collection of data for use in a subsequent calibration calculation while the accessory remains activated.

  • Patent number: 5756710
Abstract: The present invention provides phosphorothioate oligonucleotide moieties comprising a phosphorothioate oligonucleotide comprising the sequence G.sub.m X.sub.n G.sub.p, wherein G is guanosine; X is thymidine, adenosine or cytidine, or a combination thereof; each of m, n and p is independently an integer greater than 2; the phosphorothioate oligonucleotide moiety being capable of binding to a V3 loop of HIV envelope glycoprotein. The invention further provides for a method of inhibiting HIV activity. The invention also provides for a method of inhibiting HIV activity in a subject. The invention further provides for a method of treating an HIV related disorder in a subject. Finally, the invention provides a pharmaceutical composition comprising a phosphorothioate oligonucleotide moiety and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
