  • Patent number: 4803195
Abstract: Personal care composition having deodorant or antiperspirant activity and containing, in addition to an active deodorant or antiperspirant base, a perfuming base, either in the form of an aqueous emulsion, or in microencapsulated form. The perfume base is combined with a film-forming substrate and an emulsifying agent. The said composition has the advantage of releasing the volatile constituents of the perfume at the appropriate moment by the action of a source of moisture, in particular sweat. It also has the advantage that it gives rise to a re-encapsulation in situ, for example on the skin itself, of active constituents in the drying phase. It is suitable in particular for the manufacture of articles for personal care, such as deodorants and antiperspirants in the form of sticks, roll-on devices, smooth-ons or aerosols and pressure vaporizers.

  • Patent number: 4798288
Abstract: The invention relates to a plastic packing having multiple compartments for liquid and solid products having a joint common to both compartments constituted by at least two sheets of polymer material, one of which ruptures internally along a longitudinal axis, without the external walls of the packing rupturing, when an external pressure is applied to one of the compartments. The packing of the invention enables the separate storage, in different compartments, of various incompatible substances, while enabling them to be mixed just before use, after rupture of the internal portion of the joint separating the said compartments. The packing of the invention in particular enables the preparation of novel and advantageous devices designed for the deodorizing of enclosed spaces.

  • Patent number: 4785833
Abstract: Process for the aromatization of tobacco leaves or tobacco particles, powder or sheets of natural or artificial origin by means of a volatile, water immiscible active flavor, which process is characterized in that the said flavor is put into intimate contact with the tobacco leaves, particles, powder or sheets by directly spraying onto their exposed surface an emulsion consisting of the said flavor, an aqueous solution of a hydrosoluble carrier and an emulsifier.

  • Patent number: 4734278
Abstract: Shaped volatiles emitting body consisting essentially of a thermoplastic polyamidic resin of polyether-ester-amide type of formula ##STR1## wherein PA represents the polyamide moiety and PE represents the polyether moiety, index n stands for an integer designating the multiple of the recurrent pattern, containing about 1 to 60% by weight, based on the total weight of the polyamidic resin, of a volatile substance selected from a perfume, an odorizer, a deodorizer, an insecticide, an insect- or an animal-repellent or attractant.Article comprising a shaped volatiles emitting body substantially as described above.

  • Patent number: 4634614
Abstract: A device for perfuming ambient air or closed locals comprises a chamber having at least one polymer wall allowing the diffusion of active odoriferous substance vapors into the environning medium, the polymer wall being covered with a thin layer of paper coated with a polymer sheet to which adheres a protection sheet which is impervious to the active substance vapors. Such a device has the advantage of providing for the preservation of the active substance without any loss during prolonged periods of time before use.

  • Patent number: 4534509
Abstract: A plastic packing device for the storage and the delivery of active materials consisting of multiple compartments destined to accommodate liquid, solid or gel materials, the compartments being formed by the joinder of two flexible polymeric sheets and comprising at least a sealed storage compartment impervious to the active materials and a sealed receiving compartment. At least one of the seams of the storage compartment is constituted by a system consisting of an internal layer of foam type plastic sheet which adheres on both its outer surfaces to leak-tight resilient polymeric sheets. External pressure on one of the compartments provokes internal rupture of the foam layer without rupture of outer polymeric sheets thus enabling emptying of storage compartment into receiving compartment without exposure of the active substance to the surrounding environment. The plastic packing is specially useful for ready premix of different components of useful active mixtures immediately before use.

  • Patent number: 4475906
Abstract: New injection syringe devices are formed of a partially flexible plastic bag which is filled with the solution to be injected. On one end there is a hollow injection needle sealed in. To separate the solution from the needle and to make the injection device tight during storage, a pressure release valve or special breakable seal is used. When a certain mechanical pressure is exerted on the outer side of the plastic bag the overpressure valve opens automatically or the breakable seal ruptures. With both systems it is possible to make ready-to-use prefilled injection devices consisting of a closed flexible plastic bag with the needle on one end. Pressure on the outside of the bag by hand or a mechanical device opens the junction between the plastic bag and the needle thus permitting the liquid content to be injected.
