  • Publication number: 20090101452
Abstract: In a brake- and/or clamping arrangement for a shaft supported in an apparatus housing or a device housing and comprising a braking disc mounted on the shaft rigidly for rotation therewith and a clamping ring supported in the device housing, the braking disc has a friction area comprising two truncated cone-shaped friction surfaces with at least one brake cone arranged in the device housing and one arranged on an activating member. One brake cone abuts during braking or clamping the brake disc whereas the other cone abuts a clamping ring, which is disposed between the contact areas of the brake cones, the clamping ring are in contact with each other being mounted to the apparatus housing.

  • Publication number: 20090031528
Abstract: In a damping mechanism for a pivot door arranged in a door frame, comprising a door fixture arranged in or on the door panel, a frame fixture arranged in or on the door frame, a damper arrangement arranged in the door fixture or the frame fixture and a damper arrangement counter part mounted in the frame fixture or in the door fixture, a damper arrangement with a brake catcher provided with a damper member includes a spring element which pulls the brake catcher into the fixture and the damper arrangement counter part includes at least one trigger element which is abutted by the brake catcher during closing of the door, so that the damper arrangement begins to dampen the pivot movement of the door as soon as a fixture part of the door comes into contact with a fixture part of the door frame.

  • Publication number: 20060118371
Abstract: In a pneumatic damper for slowing down movable furniture parts, comprising a cylinder and a piston movably disposed in the cylinder so as to form a displacement chamber at one side and a vacuum chamber at the other side of the piston, the piston includes a seal element which, in one end position thereof, is in close contact with the wall of the cylinder whose cross-section increases toward the opposite end of the cylinder so that the sealing effect collapses when the piston approaches its other end position and the piston includes a piston rod, which has a diameter of less than 35% of the piston diameter and sealingly extends through a cylinder end wall.

  • Patent number: 7051843
Abstract: In a friction brake arrangement with emergency braking functions for use with a carriage supported on a guide track, with a friction clamping structure including a friction shoe supported in a housing so as to be disposed adjacent the guide track, a spring element is provided biasing the friction shoe toward the guide track for frictional engagement therewith and also a power operated drive for disengaging the friction shoe from the guide track against the force of the spring element and, furthermore, a blocking member is disposed between the drive means and the spring element and held electromagnetically in the blocking position so that the spring is released and the carriage is locked to the guide track for example upon occurrence of a power outage.

  • Patent number: 5677560
Abstract: A micromechanical component having a carrier and a deformable element of a flat design disposed parallel to a surface of the carrier, with the deformable element being provided with a mechano-electric signal converter. The carrier and the deformable element are fabricated in one piece out of a semiconductor substrate and are electrically insulated from one another, with the insulation being obtained by a buried layer produced by ion implantation thereby providing a micromechanical component which is suitable for joint integration with electric circuits in CMOS technology.

  • Patent number: 5431057
Abstract: A process for manufacturing an integratable capacitative pressure sensor includes the following steps, starting from a semiconductor substrate (1): application of a guard film (2), precipitation of a polycrystalline semiconductor film (4), doping the polycrystalline semiconductor film (4) and removal of the guard film (2) by etching; then insulating the semiconductor zone (7) from the semiconductor substrate (1), and applying an insulator film (8) on the insulated semiconductor zone (7). The pressure sensor product, which is compatible with CMOS circuits and has increased sensor accuracy, includes a semiconductor zone (7) insulated from the semiconductor substrate (1) and an insulator film (8) applied on the insulated semiconductor zone (7), the polycrystalline semiconductor film (4) being located on the insulator film (8) above the insulated semiconductor zone (7).
