Abstract: An electronic device includes an enclosure, a circuit board arranged in the enclosure, a heat dissipation module set on the circuit board, and a fan arranged in the enclosure and aligned with the heat dissipation module. The heat dissipation module includes a base and a number of fins. A number of parallel receiving portions are formed on the base. A slot is defined in each retaining portion. Each fin includes a main plate and a pivoting portion formed at a bottom the main plate. The pivoting portions are respectively and pivotably received in the slots of the base.

Abstract: A connection assembly includes a connection member and a switch. The connection member includes a serial attached small computer system interface (SAS) connector electronically connected to the switch. When the switch is electronically connect to the motherboard, the switch transmits signals from the motherboard to a hard disk drive backplane via the SAS connector. When the switch is electronically connect to the hard disk drive backplane, the switch transmits signals from the hard disk drive backplane to the motherboard via the SAS connector.

Abstract: A hard disk retaining apparatus includes a main body and an indicating module is installed inside the main body, the indicating module includes a display button, a trigger button, and a display unit. When the hard disk drive is installed into the main body, the hard disk drive contacts the trigger button, pressing the display button, the display unit can display if the hard disk drive is installed into the hard disk retaining apparatus. When the hard disk drive is not installed into the main body, the display unit does not work.

Abstract: A delay circuit for a fan includes a signal generation circuit, a first switch, a delay microchip, and a second switch. The signal generation circuit receives a driving signal and generates a control signal according to the driving signal. The first switch is electronically connected to the signal generation circuit to receive the control signal. The second switch is electronically connected between the delay microchip and the fan. When the signal generation circuit is electronically connected to the fan via the first switch, the control signal is transmitted to the fan to activate the fan. When the signal generation circuit is electronically connected to the delay microchip, the delay microchip receives the control signal and outputs a delayed control signal after a predetermined delay time, and the delayed control signal is transmitted to the fan via the second switch to activate the fan.

The controlling circuit receives the first or second signal and the inverted signal, to output a processing signal to the BIOS socket, thereby controlling write-protection states of the BIOS chip.
