Abstract: A control unit for an automatic device for preparing a beverage, which control unit is provided with a display panel and an input wherein the control unit is provided furthermore with an operating unit for displaying by the display panel a visually observable reaction to designations provided by the user, and for controlling a preparation unit of the automatic device, wherein the display panel has selection fields for mutually exclusive settings for formulations of the beverage to be prepared, wherein the control unit enables the user to select one of the settings by designation of one of the selection fields, wherein a collecting field with at least one setting field shows the chosen setting of the formulation, and wherein the non-designated selection fields remain visible and selectable.

Abstract: Method, pad and assembly of pad and holder and beverage preparation, apparatus (1) for providing a beverage provided with a fine bubble froth layer or a beverage at least virtually without the fine bubble froth layer with the aid of a pad (6) with a covering (26) filled with at least a product (28) to be extracted and/or to be dissolved. The method comprises selecting using the pad (6) in a first (A) or a second (B) condition of use, and using the pad (6) according to the selection the pad (6) in the first condition of use (A) or in the second condition of use (B). In the first condition of use (A), a fine bubble froth layer is obtained on the beverage. In the second condition of use (B), a beverage is obtained which is at least virtually free of such a fine bubble froth layer.

Abstract: A system for preparing a beverage suitable for consumption, for instance coffee and/or tea, is disclosed. The system comprises an apparatus for dispensing beverage under pressure to a nozzle of the system, and at least one receiving chamber which is placeable or is placed downstream of this nozzle. During use, the nozzle spouts a jet of the beverage with relatively high velocity to and/or into the receiving chamber. The receiving chamber is provided with at least one outflow opening for dispensing beverage received in this chamber. The system is at least configured to substantially counteract or prevent formation of foam of this beverage, in particular when the beverage is spouted to and/or into the receiving chamber. Further disclosed is an assembly at least provided with a holder, to a holder, a receiving body, the use of a said system and to a method for preparing a beverage suitable for consumption.

Abstract: A tea pad is provided for preparing tea. More particularly, the tea pad provides at least one consumption unit of tea with the aid of a coffee maker. The coffee maker is provided with a holder for receiving at least one pad filled with a product to be extracted, and means for pressing hot water under pressure through the pad for obtaining an extract of the product while, preferably, the applied pressure of the water is 1-2 bar. The pad is provided with a covering, such as filtering paper which is at least partly transmissive to a liquid such as water and, which is at least virtually non-transmissive to tea. The covering comprises at least one space which is at least partly filled with tea.

Abstract: An apparatus for preparing a beverage fit for consumption with a fine-bubble froth layer, in particular cappuccino. The invention provides a beverage unit, which dispenses under pressure a beverage to be processed to a beverage processing path, through which, in use, the beverage flows to obtain the beverage with the fine-bubble froth layer. The beverage processing path successively includes a nozzle and a buffer reservoir, the nozzle being positioned relative to the buffer reservoir such that, in use, it generates a liquid jet squirting into the buffer reservoir to obtain the beverage with the fine-bubble froth layer. Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for preparing a consumable beverage with a fine-bubbled foam layer. The invention comprises a beverage unit for dispensing the beverage under pressure and at least one nozzle which is in fluid communication with the beverage unit for supplying the beverage to the nozzle for generating a jet of the beverage by means of the nozzle. The apparatus further comprises a collecting unit into which the jet spouts to obtain the beverage with the fine-bubbled foam layer. The collecting unit comprises a chamber with at least one outflow opening for dispensing the beverage with the fine-bubbled foam layer and a jet impact element included in the chamber with a top which is clear of an inner wall of the chamber.
