  • Patent number: 9752273
Abstract: A densified fluid barrier cleaning system is disclosed in which a pressure vessel encases a movable basket positioned so as to cross a barrier such that one opening of the pressure vessel resides in a first environment and a second opening of the pressure vessel resides in a second environment. A tubular basket within the pressure vessel is positioned such that its central longitudinal axis is aligned with both the first and second opening of the pressure vessel. Responsive to the successful completion of a cleaning cycle, soiled articles that are introduced to the basket via the first opening from the first environment can be removed through the second opening and into the second environment thus bridging the barrier without fear of introducing contaminants from the first environment to second environment.

  • Patent number: 9607086
Abstract: In one example, a data security system may determine prevalence of a file based query data for an object (e.g., a file or a hash or a file). An example algorithm may provide using a statistically justifiable estimate of the prevalence while storing few data records, and therefore may provide prevalence information in O(1) time complexity (i.e., constant time). Such an algorithm may be applied in near real-time to provide, e.g., an immediate response to a query for the prevalence of a file.

  • Publication number: 20160363971
Abstract: A thermal control system that includes a combination of active and passive components is described herein. In one or more implementation, the thermal control system compensates for non-uniformities in a temperature profile for an arrangement of components within a computing device. One or more active components of the thermal control system transfer heat away from heat-generating devices by active means, such as active transfer to a moving fluid that is driven by a blower or fan. Additionally, one or more passive components are positioned to transfer heat to selected areas of the device using passive transfer devices, such as heat-pipes and thermal spreaders made of conductive materials. The active and passive components operate together to compensate for temperature variations across the device surfaces, produce a controlled temperature profile having greater uniformity, reduce overall differences in surface temperatures, and provide greater capability for heat dissipation.

  • Patent number: 9384349
Abstract: A method for securing an electronic device includes, at a level below all of the operating systems of an electronic device, trapping a first attempt and second attempt to access sensitive system resources of the electronic device. The method also includes identifying the first attempt and second attempt as representing a potential malware attack, comparing the sequence of the first attempt and second attempt against a first anti-malware rule, and, based on the comparison of the sequence of the first attempt and second attempt against the first anti-malware rule, allowing the second attempt. The first attempt and second attempt originate from code of the same operating entity. The first anti-malware rule includes a requirement of a sequence of attempts including the first attempt followed by the second attempt.

  • Patent number: 9309941
Abstract: A liquid cooled brake is provided having an improved housing that provides strong yet lightweight structural support. The brake includes end plates disposed about a driven shaft and axially spaced from one another. A plurality of axially extending pins connect the end plates. A friction plate is coupled to the driven shaft for rotation therewith and is axially movable relative to the driven shaft. Another friction plate defines a fluid jacket and is coupled to the pins. The friction plate is fixed against rotation, but axially movable, relative to the pins. A pressure plate is configured for selective movement towards the friction plates. Support columns are disposed radially outwardly of each pin and fixed to the end plates The support columns prevent undue strain on the pins. Ventilated guards may also be located between each pair of columns to limit access to internal working components of the brake.
