  • Patent number: 8978410
Abstract: A refrigerating system is provided in which a heat exchanging unit performs heat exchange between first and second evaporators, so that the first and second evaporators have similar temperatures, and so that an additional “pump-down” operation may be avoided, thereby reducing compressor losses due to discharge occurrences. Since the additional pump-down operation may be avoided, power consumption may be reduced, and reliability and efficiency of the system may be enhanced. Additionally, a backflow preventing unit for preventing backflow of refrigerant in an evaporator may not be required, thus further reducing fabrication cost and complexity.

  • Patent number: 8057200
Abstract: The present invention discloses a linear compressor in which a piston is linearly reciprocated inside a cylinder, for sicking a refrigerant into a compression space between the piston and the cylinder, and compressing and discharging the refrigerant, and especially, a structure of discharging the refrigerant for the linear compressor which can reduce a pulsation of a high pressure discharged refrigerant, by making the refrigerant compressed in the compression space flow from a sub-discharge space with a relatively small volume to a sub-discharge space with a relatively large volume in a discharge chamber. As a result, the structure of discharging the refrigerant for the linear compressor can efficiently reduce noise and vibration.

  • Publication number: 20100192622
Abstract: A refrigerating system is disclosed. Since heat exchange is performed between first and second evaporators by a heat exchanging unit, the first and second evaporators have temperatures similar to each other, thereby requiring no additional ‘pump-down’ operation. Also, a compressor does not have a discharge occurrence owing to no additional ‘pump-down’ operation, thereby having no loss and an enhanced reliability. Besides, since no additional pump-down operation is required, power consumption for operating the compressor so as to collect a remaining refrigerant is reduced. Accordingly, the efficiency of the refrigerating system is enhanced. Furthermore, as the ‘pump-down’ operation is not required, a backflow preventing unit for preventing a refrigerant collected from an evaporator from backflowing to the evaporator is not required. Accordingly, the fabrication cost is reduced.

  • Patent number: 7748963
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a linear compressor, which is designed in such a fashion that oil is suctioned into a space between a cylinder and a piston by a low pressure produced between the cylinder and the piston when the piston moves backward, and then is discharged to the outside by a high pressure produced between the cylinder and the piston when the piston moves forward, resulting in a simplified oil pumping structure and low cost.

  • Publication number: 20100162744
Abstract: A refrigerator is disclosed. A freezing chamber evaporator and a cooling chamber evaporator are installed at an inner side of a ceiling surface of a freezing chamber and a cooling chamber. Accordingly, the freezing chamber and the cooling chamber have deeper depths thus to have large available capacities, thereby freshly receiving a large amount of food items. Furthermore, a cool air channel is formed at the freezing chamber door and the cooling chamber door so as to be connected to a cool air channel of the ceiling surface. Accordingly, a temperature difference between an inner space and a door basket does not occur, thereby storing food or beverage items received in the door basket in a fresh condition.

  • Publication number: 20100126185
Abstract: A refrigerator is provided. The refrigerator may include a body having a storage room, an ice making chamber formed separately from the storage room, and a thermoelectric-module provided in the ice making chamber to generate cold air. The thermoelectric-module does not require a cold air duct to cool the ice making chamber. As a result, space utilization is improved and a capacity of the refrigerator is improved. In addition, energy efficiency may be enhanced because a heater is not required to remove the frost from a cold air duct.
