  • Publication number: 20110036549
Abstract: A plate heat exchanger comprises a plurality of heat exchanger plates (1). The plates are provided beside each other and permanently joined to each other to form a plate package having first plate interspaces and second plate interspaces. Each plate has a heat transfer area (20) and four porthole areas (21-24) defined by a porthole edge (25). Each of the porthole areas comprises an annular flat area (31) located at one of a primary and secondary level, and a set of inner portions (32) on the annular flat area at the other of the primary and secondary level. Each inner portion has an inner part adjoining the porthole edge and an outer segment adjoining the inner part and having an angular extension of at least 180°. The outer segment has a continuous contour and a radius R, which is allowed to vary within the range 0.8R?R?1.2R.

  • Patent number: 6705437
Abstract: The present invention concerns a disc brake mainly for road vehicles. The disc brake comprises a fixed caliper straddling one or more brake discs, one or more thrust plates and a number of brake pads. The brake discs are received in a non-rotating but axially moveable relationship on a rotating hub. The brake pads are guided axially moveable in the caliper taking up the load of the brake pads.

  • Patent number: 6469231
Abstract: The present invention relates to an amino acid sequence of second starch branching enzyme (SBE II) of potato and a fragment thereof as well as to the corresponding isolated DNA sequences. Furthermore, the invention relates to vectors comprising such an isolated DNA sequence, to processes for production of transgenic potatoes, and to the use of said potatoes for the production of starch. The starch obtained will show a changed pattern of branching of amylopectin as well as a changed amylose/amylopectin ratio.

  • Patent number: 6442841
Abstract: A device in connection with a hand-operated working machine with a water flow directed to the working tool comprises a first control which is a control (15) for a drive motor (3) for the tool, and a second control which is a control (17) for the water supply to the tool. A water control valve (45) in a water supply conduit (14) can be adjusted to adopt chosen opening positions, and is arranged constantly to be kept open in any chosen opening position when the motor is running the tool under influence of the drive motor control. The chosen opening positions are adjustable, i.e. the through opening of the valve can be increased or decreased by using water supply control (17).

  • Patent number: 6440305
Abstract: A submersible fuel filter device (1) of suctional type is connectable to the end of a fuel inlet hose (2) in a fuel tank and comprises a filter (3) consisting of porous plastic with a surrounding outer wall (10) with an upper border (11), a lid (4) provided with an outlet opening (24) that covers the filter (3) and is connected to the outer wall's upper border. The filter is embodied like a cup-shaped body and has a through flow thickness, or material thickness, which is considerably smaller than the other dimensions of the body, and its porosity is less than 10 &mgr;m. The inlet suction hose (2) is connected to said outlet suction opening (24).

  • Patent number: 6397916
Abstract: The invention relates to a folding door with a door leaf (4) which is movable between a closed position and an open, folded position, in which the door leaf (4) is folded about folding lines between opposite side edges (5) of the door leaf. A plurality of guide members (110-118) are connected to the side edges (5) in a spaced-apart relationship along the same, and two side frames (1) are extended adjacent to a respective side edge (5). Each side frame (1) defines at least a first and a second guide groove (68, 69), which are juxtaposed transversely of the side frame. The guide members comprise, at each side frame (1), a first set of guide members running in the first guide groove (68) only, as well as a second set of guide members running in the second guide groove only (69).

  • Patent number: 6375777
Abstract: Process for the production of a thermosetting laminate made of a number of continuous paper webs impregnated with a thermosetting resin. The dry webs are fed continuously between an upper and a lower press belt (101 and 102 respectively) of a continuous double belt press (100). The continuous paper webs are divided into at least two groups (10) each consisting of at least two sheets of which at least one is impregnated with a thermosetting resin. One or more separation sheets (1) are placed between the groups (10) of paper webs.

  • Patent number: 6336273
Abstract: A device in connection with a cutting machine with an annular saw blade and with a driving mechanism for off-center drive of the blade. The device includes two first rollers arranged to contact and roll against the web of the saw blade on one side of the blade and two second rollers arranged to contact and roll against the web of the blade on the other, opposite side of the blade. The first rollers are mounted on a first shaft, which is movable along a path against the plane of the saw blade, perpendicularly to the centerline of the shaft, for pressing the first rollers with a certain desired force against the blade web under counter force by the second rollers on the opposite side of the blade.
