    Abstract: A ship comprises an engine; a first self-heat exchanger which heat-exchanges boil-off gas discharged from a storage tank; a multi-stage compressor which compresses, in multi-stages, the boil-off gas that passed through the first self-heat exchanger after being discharged from the storage tank; a first decompressing device which expands one portion of the boil-off gas compressed by the multi-stage compressor; a second self-heat exchanger which heat-exchanges the other portion of the boil-off gas compressed by the multi-stage compressor, with the boil-off gas expanded by the first decompressing device; and a second decompressing device which expands the boil-off gas pre-cooled by the second self-heat exchanger and cooled by the first self-heat exchanger, wherein the first self-heat exchanger uses the boil-off gas discharged from the storage tank as a refrigerant for cooling the boil-off gas that passed through the second self-heat exchanger after being compressed by the multi-stage compressor.

In addition, provided is a method of matching a measurement section of a reference sound, based on which the end-to-end sound quality measurement of the variable bandwidth multi-codec is performed, and a measurement section of a sound produced by the variable bandwidth multi-codec in a real-time Internet multimedia service. Therefore, distortion of measurement results due to un-matching measurement sections can be reduced.

The method of controlling the variable bit-rate voice codec may include: extracting calling capability of terminals that request a new call to be made; extracting network parameters from existing calls in the network through an exchanged packet; measuring voice quality of the existing calls based on the extracted network parameters; and determining whether to permit a new call to be made based on the measured voice quality and the calling capability. Accordingly, it is possible to secure QoS of a voice service between terminals by adjusting a transmission rate of the variable bit-rate codec based on transmission capability of a network.

The apparatus for controlling the QoS of a variable bandwidth multi-codec includes: a network state detection unit detecting a network state including at least one of a packet loss ratio, a packet loss interval, and a packet delay time based on an RTP packet transmitted to and received from a destination for which a call connection is established; and a codec control unit updating a transmission rate by comparing the detected resultant value with an already set reference value and increasing or decreasing the transmission rate, and controlling the variable bandwidth multi-codec to code data with the updated transmission rate. According to the apparatus and method, data can be coded with a codec transmission rate suitable for a network state identified during a voice call after the call is set up.

    Abstract: Provided is a network resource provisioning method for bandwidth guarantee per flow in a differentiated service Internet in which bandwidth needed for each flow is individually requested. The method includes setting an optimum path between a source node and a destination node based on a request for traffic for a specific period of time; performing static provisioning in which bandwidth is allocated to the optimum path according to a service class thereof; determining whether all of the bandwidth allocated to the optimum path by performing static provisioning are used up, and accepting connection admission according to the determination result; and when connection admission is not accepted, performing dynamic provisioning in which additional bandwidth is allocated to the optimum path based on a request for traffic from a new incoming flow. Accordingly, it is possible to efficiently provide a quality-guaranteed service by accepting a request for bandwidth per flow.

    Abstract: A method for transferring data frame end-to-end in a local area network is provided. In the method, a virtual synch frame shaper is loaded on a frame transmission layer structure provided in end stations in transmitting and receiving sides, which transmits data frame passing through a plurality of Ethernet switches in the LAN. Then, slot counters, which are counted through the virtual synch frame shaper, are exchanged between the end stations, and the slot counters are synchronized. Afterward, the transmit time slot is allocated based on the synchronized slot counters for transmitting data frames between the end stations. Finally, data frames are transmitted based on the synchronized slot counters and the allocated transmit time slot.

The ARP processing method is performed using the EoS channel, thereby reducing unnecessary broadcast traffic packets.
