  • Patent number: 5788611
Abstract: A collapsible treadmill includes a base, a pivot seat at a front portion of the base, an upright bar mounted in the pivot seat, a securing bar fixedly disposed on the upright bar, and two grip bars. The grip bars are locked to the securing bar at their top ends and to the base at their bottom ends. When the treadmill is not in use, the grip bars and the upright bar may be lowered in the direction of the base so as to reduce the size of the treadmill as a whole for easy storage.

  • Patent number: 5782723
Abstract: A collapsible treadmill includes a base body and handle bars. The base body supports such basic components as an electric motor, front and rear shafts, a tread belt, a tread board. The base body includes a U-shaped frame and a rectangular main frame. The U-shaped frame is provided with pivot seats at their ends, while the main frame is provided with corresponding pivot plates at both sides of its front end. The U-shaped frame and the main frame are pivotally joined by screw bolts connecting the pivot seats and the pivot plates such that the main frame may be folded upwardly to rest between the handle bars when the treadmill is not in use so as to reduce floor-occupying space.

  • Patent number: 4865313
Abstract: This invention relates to a running exerciser and in particular to one including a base frame on which there is fixedly mounted a motor. An endless belt is carried on a front rod and a rear rod in the base frame. A driving wheel with a conical surface is mounted on an axle of the motor. A driven wheel is installed at one end of the front rod and has a conical surface. Between the driving wheel and the driven wheel is a controlling conical disc provided with a frictional ring on the circumference thereof which partially contacts the conical surfaces of the driving wheel and the driven wheel. When the controlling disc is slightly moved towards or away from the driven wheel, the interconnection among the controlling conical disc and the driving and driven wheels will be changed thereby effectively increasing or decreasing the speed of the running exerciser.
