    Abstract: A method for making LNO film, including the steps of identifying a substrate, identifying a deposition target, placing the substrate and deposition target in a deposition environment, evolving target material into the deposition environment, and depositing evolved target material onto the substrate to yield an LNO film. The deposition environment defines a temperature of between 500 degrees Celsius and 750 degrees Celsius and a pressure of about 10?6 Torr. A seed or buffer layer may be first deposited onto the substrate, wherein the seed layer is about 30 mole percent gold and about 70 LiNbO3.

The method contains the steps of providing particles of desired composition, utilizing a selective leaser melting (SLM) apparatus producing a first layer of the particles on a substrate and melting and solidifying a first group selected areas of the layer of particles, wherein the melting and the solidification results in an alloy of desired composition, containing intermetallic lamellae and has thickness equal to thickness of the first layer. The process is repeated to produce an object of specified thickness and shape containing the melted and solidified areas.

In the process of a gripping head approaching a segment, a relative positional relationship between the gripping head and the segment is identified based on images captured by the cameras.     Abstract: Systems and methods described herein train a deep reinforcement learning agent to solve weakly coupled Markov decision processes using Lagrangian relaxation in a model-free setting. By relaxing linking constraints separate subproblems may be obtained that are easier to solve when considered individually. In embodiments, this is accomplished by collecting experience tuples from a main problem, decomposing them into subproblems, and introducing Lagrangian multipliers to manage linking constraints. Transition experiences are stored in a replay buffer and Lagrangian action-values learn for each subproblem via DQN using a relaxed Bellman equation. The method includes estimating the overall Lagrangian action-value function, solving an optimization problem over Lagrangian multipliers, and choosing actions greedily.

    Abstract: Systems and methods described herein extend Functional Neural Networks (FNNs) for time series dimension reduction and multi-class classification. Using functional encoders and decoders, the Bi-Functional Autoencoder (BFAE) reduces both the number of features and timepoints (two way) using basis expansion. FNN is also extended to facilitate time series multi-class classification, which enables detecting more than two classes in the data. The functional encoder uses the continuous neurons in the continuous hidden layer to derive a low-dimension latent representation of the data. This representation is then processed by functional decoder to reconstruct the original information. For multi-class classification, the system utilizes cross-entropy loss and a softmax activation function to effectively handle more than two classes to improve classification performance.

    Abstract: Example implementations described herein involve an approach to address an imperfect simulator challenge using off-line data plus reward modification. The proposed solution is robust to simulator error, and therefore, it requires less maintenance in keeping the simulators updated. Even when the simulators are accurate, it is costly to keep them accurate over time. Moreover, compared to other robust reinforcement learning algorithms, the proposed approach does not assume the distribution of uncertainties in the simulator are known. Less complexity leads to fewer potential errors as well as lower computational cost during the training. Finally, the proposed approach has better performance compared to the state-of-the-art methods (higher overall cumulative rewards).
